Hello there, my friends! It's week two of the global COVID-19 shutdown, and we do hope you're staying calm, focused and in good spirits during this difficult time for our planet.

Now that the coronavirus is steadily creeping across the globe, ready to pounce on any unsuspecting person with a compromised immune system, it's of vital importance to keep yourself fighting fit and healthy while quarantined at home. So please do ensure that you're getting the right nutrition and the proper amount of sleep — but not too much either! You can't run the risk of becoming sluggish and lethargic.

With that in mind, it's of paramount importance, both to you and your loved ones, that you get some regular daily exercise. Now, we're not asking you to bust out the dumbbells and start doing pull-ups and push-ups every day (unless you prefer high-intensity work-outs). Just a minimum amount of physical activity will do. Even if it's just some mild stretches or even a mini-session of desk yoga, it's absolutely critical that you keep your body constantly moving. You've gotta be loose, lithe, and limber so you can keep earning those Ws. With that in mind, here are our Top 5 songs that are sure to inspire you to stay motivated and energized. By the end of this, you'll be ready to bring on those tummy crunches too!

Pandemic Playlist - Workout Edition!

'Eye of the Tiger' - Survivor

Who can forget that scene in 'Rocky III' when Sylvester Stallone starts his epic workout montage accompanied by this classic track from 1982? It's a movie moment that has been savored by generations of eager gym-goers, and unquestionably the first song that comes to mind when you think of intense workouts. The lyrics make perfect sense for the world right now too, provided you make one minor change: "It's the eye of the tiger, it's the thrill of the fight / Risin' up to the challenge of corona!"

'Till I Collapse' - Eminem

The revered rapper Eminem is known as a bit of a tough cookie. He doesn't back down from a challenge, be it fending off over-eager stans or crafting scathing replies to diss tracks. After more than 20 years in the business, he's still as mentally strong as they come. What better motivation do you need for your work out than "You gotta find that inner strength / And just pull that s*** out of you and get that motivation to not give up / And not be a quitter, no matter how bad you want to just fall flat on your face and collapse."

'Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)' - BTS

The seven-member South Korean group BTS is probably the hottest ticket in K-pop right now with close to a hundred million fans combined on their social media accounts. And with this effervescent, upbeat smash hit, 'Mic Drop' they'll make you want to get out of your seat in no time and start learning their razor-sharp dance moves. The DJ Steve Aoki is one of the biggest names in the EDM world right now, so his wicked grooves melded with BTS's spunky rap perfectly combine to make this catchy, energetic masterpiece. Mic drop!

'Survivor' - Destiny's Child

Remember when the bootylicious pop icon Beyonce was merely one-third as famous as she actually is today? This was back at the turn of the new millennium, when girl groups reigned supreme, and none were as famous or as talented as the trio Destiny's Child. Only three members had survived of the original sextet, and Beyonce actually wrote this ode to endurance and never giving up as a response to a joke made by a radio station that compared the girl band to the TV show 'Survivor'. Looks like Queen Bey got the last laugh.

'Painkiller'' - Judas Priest

We saved the most punishing, hard-hitting song for last, just in case you were nearing the end of your workout and needed something crunching to steel yourself against the pain. The legendary Rob Halford's voice will sear itself into your brain, and give you some extra oomph and vigor to finish that final set of exercises. And just in case the pummeling riffs won't do the job for you, the powerful, screeching lyrics will definitely heighten your pain threshold - "Pain! Pain! Killer! Killer! Can't stop the painkiller!"

Pandemic Playlist is a daily list of songs that will keep you entertained instead of feeling drained while you're isolated at home. Look out for a fresh selection of great tunes from MEAWW to refresh your mood every day!
