The number at which coronavirus cases are increasing every day, it seems this is not going to end very soon. Health officials around the world are taking precautionary measures to stop it from further spread and also urging people to practice social distancing in this crucial time of the pandemic.

Celebrities are trying to raise awareness about the disease among their followers through their social media accounts. Actress Hilary Duff, who herself is in self-quarantine, has joined the group asking people to follow the cautionary measures.

On Sunday, Duff posted an Instagram story where she slammed fellow millennials for not self-quarantining themselves amid coronavirus outbreak. She called the young people “a**holes” as they are choosing to party over health.

“To all you young millennial a**holes that keep going out partying: go home. Stop killing old people please,” the 32-year-old said in her social media post. The mother of two especially mentioned ‘old people’ in her post because the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has urged people of old age to be more cautious as they are more vulnerable to the virus.

In the post, Duff also asked her 14.8 million followers to recommend some television shows that she can watch while at home with her husband and two kids. “Guys, what shows to watch right now? We finished ‘Love Is Blind’. It was amazing. What are we going to do? I’m not excited about anything right now. Do we dare watch ‘Game of Thrones’ again? Maybe? May be stuck at home that long,” the actress said.

Taylor Swift, too, said she is stunned to see the number of parties and social gatherings happening during the time of the global public health crisis. The 30-year-old singer has shared a story on Instagram, where she wrote: “I love you so much and need to express my concern that things aren’t being taken seriously enough right now. You Need To Calm Down.”

“I’m seeing lots of get-togethers and hangs and parties still happening. This is the time to cancel plans, actually truly isolate as much as you can and don’t assume that because you don’t feel sick that you aren’t possibly passing something on to someone elderly or vulnerable to this. It’s a really scary time, but we need to make sacrifices right now,” the ‘Speak Now’ singer concluded.

Lady Gaga has also sent a message to her fans and followers. In her Instagram post, she wrote that she has consulted some doctors and scientists regarding the present health crisis. “It’s not the easiest for everyone right now but the kindest/healthiest thing we can do is self-quarantine and not hang out with people over 65 and in large groups,” the 33-year-old actress told her fans.

Coronavirus outbreak has put several cities across the world on lockdown affecting millions. Total confirmed deaths due to the disease across the globe are more than seven thousand with China at the top and Italy at the number two spot of the chart.
