Convicted pedophile who dated mother so he could sexually assault her children to be freed in three months
A convicted pedophile who was planning to "hook up" with a mother so he could assault her children will serve only the next three months behind bars.
Kristofer Stanley Kerwier was described as someone with a "sexual deviant interest in children" after he detailed his horrific pedo fantasies to an undercover officer who he thought was a single mother with multiple young children, according to Weekly Times Now.
Kerwin, who had been banned from using electronic devices to communicate because of previous child sex abuse and child exploitation material convictions, reached out to a profile with a user name 'Mummy Bear' intending to sexually assault her young children.
In messages he sent via Qtox, Pal Finder, Whatsapp, and an email account, he asked 'Mummy Bear' about how many children she had and their ages, before stating that he wanted to "go camping around Australia with my little pedo family."
He wrote that he hoped "they are nice and young" and said he wanted them to have sex with each other and have sex with their parents. He also described the sex acts he would like to perform on them. "Of course I will treat them like my own - tbh - we wouldn't even have to do anything pedo with your kids," he wrote, adding, "If you want to be involved, then I would be down for that too. Ha ha. I would love to share some pedo fun with you."
This past week, Kerwin, who was partway through an intensive corrections order designed to keep his urges at bay when he messaged 'Mummy Bear,' pleaded guilty to making child exploitation material and breaching an intensive corrections order at the Brisbane District Court.
His defense lawyer Bruce Mumford told the court that the 29-year-old had a "chronic sexual deviancy" and said that his latest offense was minor compared to some of his previous offenses, which included repeated sexual abuse of a child aged just six or seven years old.
He requested Judge Vicki Loury to limit his client's prison time because it would create a "significant hardship" for his mother, with whom he lived and shared rent and other costs.
In response, Crown prosecutor Ben Jackson told the court that Kerwin saw the dark web as a place where he could meet others like him and that his ability to control his sexual arousal was limited. "He seeks help in the worst places... He sought help and understanding with the very people who shared his interest," Jackson said. "He remains incapable of being able to rehabilitate himself on his own."
Loury described the 29-year-old as someone with a "sexual deviant interest in children" and said it would "be a lifelong problem for you" before sentencing him to a relatively light 18 months in prison with parole after serving six months.
He was given credit for time served and will be eligible for release on November 29 this year.
