'Say it out loud!' Confused Whoopi Goldberg reaches her breaking point after multiple interruptions on 'The View'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Monday, November 6, ‘The View’ co-hosts discussed Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman accusing California Governor Gavin Newsom of running his own shadow campaign for the 2024 election.
While all the hosts weighed in on the matter, Whoopi Goldberg, the moderator and host, was visibly distracted twice, until towards the end of the segment, a producer intervened and asked Goldberg to exit for a commercial break.
‘The View’ hosts discuss California Governor Gavin Newsom's alleged ‘shadow campaign’
Whoopi Goldberg explained the topic in hand to her co-hosts, “Some Democrats question President Biden's chances. Others, including Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, are accusing California Governor Gavin Newsom of running his own shadow campaign.”
She continued, “Is anybody really paying attention to Gavin Newsom's shadow campaign or Dean Phillips? I mean, now he's pointed it out, now more people, but, you know, wasn't nobody looking for that. Nobody was paying any attention to that.”
As all the co-hosts weighed in on the subject one after the other, the focus stayed on Joe Biden and the Democrats, before Golberg also spoke about the same, and stopped immediately.
Goldberg covered her mouth and looked at Sunny Hostin, “What? Lipstick on my teeth?” to which Hostin responded, “No.”
‘The View’ producer intervenes and abruptly cuts segment to commercial break
As the audience laughed, Whoopi Goldberg put her finger across her teeth before she moved back to the topic and talked about Joe Biden.
“Anyhoo. And basically, Joe's doing what he's supposed to be doing. He's not doing everything I want him to do. He's not doing everything everybody else wants him to do, but he's doing that job. That's what I want,” explained Goldberg.
Goldberg talked more about Biden and gas prices from last year, “And Biden's just going, ‘Look, okay, when somebody can say you're not doing a good job for the nation….’ because remember last year? I said gas prices, we were talking about how bad it was. Have you heard much about it?”
As the hosts responded and Goldberg talked, she abruptly stopped and looked off-camera, “Is it my teeth?”
All the co-hosts turned to look at the producer off-screen as Goldberg snapped a little, “What are you doing to me?”
The camera panned to the producer who said, “We gotta go,” however Goldberg didn’t hear it. She said, “What? Say it out loud!”
This time the producer yelled out louder, “commercial!” as the segment cut off.
