'The Bachelor' Season 23’s Colton Underwood announced on March 20 on his Instagram account that he tested positive for coronavirus. Alongside a video, Underwood wrote, “We got this,” adding, “I tested positive and I have been following all of the social distancing rules since last week. My symptoms started a few days ago, I was tested and just received my results today.”

He further wrote, “For anyone out there that is hesitant to self quarantine ... Please do yourself and your loved ones a favor and stay home. We will all beat this and come out stronger on the other side. I’ll keep you posted, Love y’all.”

In the video, Underwood said that while there is a lot of information about the coronavirus on social media and the news about how it majorly affects the elderly or young people, “I want to let you guys know — I’m 28, I consider myself pretty healthy, I work out regularly and I earth healthy. I became symptomatic a few days ago. Got my test results back today and they are positive.”

He said that the virus was “kicking his a*s” and that he was unable to even climb a flight of stairs without “being out of breath” or going to the bathroom without having to sit down because he was that exhausted.

He said that he was presently at his beau Cassie Randolph’s family home in Huntington and that he would keep his fans updated about his condition. He said that the reason he was sharing this video was to not cause fear or panic but to encourage everyone to stay at home and maintain social distancing.

“I just want to encourage everybody to stay at home. Stay in your house and do your part and take care of one another. Love you guys.”

The pandemic that has affected several countries has now over 18,000 cases in the US alone.
