‘Cobra Kai’ Season 3: Meet Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Xolo Maridueña and rest of the cast of the series

Season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’ will find everyone reeling in the aftermath of the violent high school brawl

‘Cobra Kai’ takes place 30 years after the events of the 1984 "All Valley Karate Tournament", where a now-successful Daniel LaRusso struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of Mr. Miyagi and must face his previous adversary, down-and-out Johnny Lawrence, who seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.

As per IGN, Season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’ will find everyone reeling in the aftermath of the violent high school brawl between their dojos, which left Miguel in a precarious condition. While Daniel searches for answers in his past and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his own vision of dominance. The soul of the Valley will be at stake, and the fate of every student and sensei will hang in the balance.

This promises to be a fun season, especially with Daniel and Johnny teaming up. Let’s take a look at the cast for the third season of the martial arts comedy-drama series based on ‘The Karate Kid’ film series:

Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso

The 59-year-old American actor is best known for his role as Daniel LaRusso in three ‘Karate Kid’ films and ‘Cobra Kai’. He is also known for his roles as Johnny Cade in ‘The Outsiders’, Jeremy Andretti in ‘Eight Is Enough’, Bill Gambini in ‘My Cousin Vinny’, Eugene Martone in ‘Crossroads’, Archie Rodriguez in ‘Ugly Betty’, and his recurring role as Officer Haddix in ‘The Deuce’.

William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence

The 55-year-old American actor, martial artist, screenwriter, director, and producer is best known for his role as Johnny Lawrence in ‘The Karate Kid’, ‘The Karate Kid Part II’, and the Netflix series ‘Cobra Kai’. He also played the recurring role of Scott McCall in ‘The Equalizer’. Zabka’s more notable film roles include ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’, ‘Where Hope Grows’, ‘Cake: A Wedding Story’, and more. 

Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz

The 19-year-old  American actor of Mexican, Cuban, and Ecuadorian descent is best known for his role as Miguel Diaz in the Netflix series ‘Cobra Kai’, and as Victor Graham in the TV series ‘Parenthood’. He’s also appeared in shows like ‘Dealin' with Idiots’, ‘Major Crimes’, ‘Rush Hour’, ‘Twin Peaks’, and more.

Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene

The 22-year-old American actor is best known for his roles as Leo Kirkman in the ABC political drama ‘Designated Survivor’ and as Robby Keene in the Netflix series ‘Cobra Kai’. He is also known for his role in the Nickelodeon television series ‘Game Shakers’. His other notable TV roles include ‘Girl Meets World’, ‘The Fosters’, and ‘Fuller House’.

Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso

The 24-year-old American actor is best known for her role as Lacey Fleming on the ABC series ‘Body of Proof’. She also took over the role of Karen Grant on ‘Scandal’ in Season 4. Her other notable television roles include ‘NCIS’, ‘Life Is Wild’, ‘Freakish’, and, of course, ‘Cobra Kai’.

Martin Kove as John Kreese

The 75-year-old American actor and martial artist is best known for his role as John Kreese, the headteacher of the Cobra Kai karate school, in ‘The Karate Kid’. He reprised the role in two sequels, ‘The Karate Kid Part II’ and ‘The Karate Kid Part III’, as well as in the spinoff series ‘Cobra Kai’. Among other roles, he is also notably remembered for his roles as Police Detective Victor Isbecki in the TV series ‘Cagney and Lacey’, and as Michael Reed Ericson in ‘Rambo: First Blood Part II’. He also appeared in ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’.

The cast also includes Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Hawk, Gianni Decenzo as Demetri, and Peyton List as Tory. Season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’ will premiere globally on January 1, 2021, a week earlier than the previously announced January 8, 2021.
