'Cobra Kai' Season 2: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything else you need to know about the Youtube Premium series

'Cobra Kai' season 2 is coming out soon in Youtube Premium and this time the rivalry has gone up a notch
UPDATED APR 8, 2019

"Inner peace, Focus, and Balance" is going to the new mantra of Cobra Kai, this new upcoming season two. Are you up to witness the intense rivalry between Daniel and Johnny? From the very first look, viewers are made aware of the itching competitiveness between the two dojos. Coming 30 years after the original 1984 movie, the season tries to offer the best of both worlds – the pop and the classic, the strength of age against the brutality of the past, and the trailer certainly gives you a sense of discipline.

Release Date

The new upcoming series will be featured in Youtube Premium on April 24.

Plot

The plot as far as the trailer is concerned, is packed with mixed emotions as the slides keep jumping back and forth with cathartic twists as Martin Kove (John Kreese) returns to the show with the same ruthlessness. He is also the guy who taught the Cobra Kai everything he knew about karate. The sub-plots and high voltage tension between the two generations are palpable throughout the trailer. We will also get to see a grown-up Miguel shifting through various nuances of the karate world while dealing with his own issues. The season trailer emphatically highlights what it is to be a Cobra Kai, "Cobra Kai is about being bad-ass," and that is what we can expect from the show. The official synopsis reads "Daniel and Johnny are back and their rivalry is bigger than ever. Will Daniel's new Miyagi-Do dojo have what it takes to beat Cobra Kai-or can Johnny keep the dream alive?"

Cast

The leading cast would remain the same as the last season bringing together arch-rivals Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso and William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence. We also get to see Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso. William Zabka is known for his longtime association in 'The Karate Kid', 'The Karate Kid 2', and also 'Hot Tub Time Machine'. The same goes for Ralph Macchio who has also worked in 'The Karate Kid' series and also in 'The Outsiders', 'Crossroads'.  Matin Cove will reappear in season 2; apart from 'The Karate Kid' series, he was also seen in 'Rambo: First Blood part 2'.
