Life's bland without a good-looking home and real-estate investor Christina Anstead is a true-blue believer of it. She remodels homes, turns them into designer abodes.

Release date

HGTV's 'Christina on the Coast' returns for a 13-episode second season on January 2, Thursday.

Plot

Christina hosts this reality docu-series that is equal parts about her doing up homes and living her life. She is a popular face of HGTV and is known for her work in 'Flip or Flop,' which she used to feature in alongside ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. In 'COTC' 1, the American realtor's family makes occasional appearances — husband Ant Anstead and baby Hudson. This year too Christina will return to the TV screen with her family.

"The new season will spotlight Christina’s custom SoCal-inspired designs for clients, as well as her personal journey with her husband, Ant Anstead, their blended family and their first baby together," a press release stated. Also, in this edition, we see how Christina works towards growing her design business, while smoothly navigating personal relationships.

Christina will host the show as well set out on a journey, during which she'll be taking up design projects and directly work with clients. This is a refreshing change from 'Flip or Flop,' because in 'COTC' she interacts with her clients to understand their taste and idea of a perfect home before making any changes to the existing structure.

The TV personality was thrilled when the second season was ordered. "So BEYOND excited to announce that Christina On The Coast has been picked up for a second season!!!... Thank you @hgtv for the opportunity- and to all of you for your support- so grateful!!," she tweeted.
