Will Christian Bale return as Batman? 'Thor: Love and Thunder' star lays down ONE condition
Christian Bale will return as the Dark Knight for the fourth time, and he has a major condition if he wants to suit up and save Gotham. The 'Thor: Love and Thunder' star starred in Christopher Nolan's trilogy between 2008 and 2012 — each of them raking in the moolah and labeled as box office hits. The Academy Award winner said there was no mention of a fourth installment, and also stated that he would return only if the movie was helmed by Nolan.
"I had a pact with Chris Nolan,” Bale said in an interview with Screenrant. “We said, ‘Hey, look. Let’s make three films if we’re lucky enough to get to do that. And then let’s walk away. Let’s not linger too long," he added. He also added that rumors of him thumbing the role down were false. “Occasionally, people say to me, ‘Oh, I hear you were approached and offered all this,” he remarked. “And I’m like, ‘That’s news to me. No one’s ever said that". News of Bale saying he would return only if Nolan would cause a stir on Twitter with fans asking him to return.

Bale will next be seen in Chris Hemsworth's fourth Thor movie, 'Love and Thunder; where he plays Gorr the Gofd Butcher. The official synopsis reads, "Thor embarks on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced — a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who — to his surprise — inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance."
'Thor: Love and Thunder' releases July 8 in the US.
