'Eye Candy': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Chrissy Teigen's latest Quibi show

From the courtroom in 'Chrissy's court' to sweet confections, Chrissy Teigen is doing it all. She is all set for her new TV series 'Eye Candy', which is based on the Japanese hit show 'Sokkuri Sweets' produced by Nippon TV. The new series will air on Quibi. This is her second series for Quibi following 'Chrissy's Court', which she stars on with mother Vilailuck.

Teigen is a very well known IMG Model in New York. She has also appeared in Maxim's calender of 2007 and has served as guest host and contributor on E!, MTV, TMZ, and many others. She has also appeared in husband John Legend's song 'All of Me'. Teigen has written a cookery book titled 'Cravings: Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat.' Here are all the details you need to know about her latest show 'Eye Candy':

Release Date

The release date of the show is not out yet. We will update this article when we have more details. 

Plot

'Eye Candy' is centered around two teams: celebrity and civilians. Both teams attempt to identify edible creations designed as ordinary objects. The team that's unable to differentiate between the original object with the cake loses. The show has taken inspiration from the hit Japenese show 'Sokkuri Sweets' which airs on Nippon TV. “Congratulations to Chrissy, Jimmy, and Quibi for finding our signature dish/format amidst the myriad of delicious plates/shows in the world! Sokkuri Sweets airs each New Year’s Day on our Nippon TV Network all throughout Japan to stellar ratings,” said Atsushi Sogo, president of International Business Development, Nippon TV.

The show will be hosted by Chrissy Teigen. This is her second show for Quibi after 'Chrissy's Court'. 'Chrissy's Court' started airing from April 6 on Quibi and it is hosted by Chrissy Teigen and mother Vilailuck.

Creators

The show is produced by Main Event Media and All3Media America, Suit and Thai Productions and Good Egg Entertainment. Soichiro Shimada, Linda Lae, Jimmy Fox, Tom Miyauchi (Nippon TV), Chrissy Teigen and Luke Dillon are the executive producers of the show. Stephanie Valentin and Amy Stamford are the co-executive producers.
