'Chicago Med' will unfortunately not be airing this week. However, when the show returns, fans can expect the show's 100th episode to be a big one. The medical drama has come a long way since it first premiered in 2015 and had recently been renewed for three more seasons.

This week, all three shows of the 'Chicago' franchise will be going on a scheduled one-week break and will return on March 18. With just seven episodes left for the season to end, viewers can take away the fact that it will be spread out for longer.

'Chicago Med's' 100th will have a lot for fans. Dr Natalie Manning and Dr Daniel Charles will work together once again on a complicated case to help a four-year-old child and soon, they learn that the child is no stranger to the emergency department.

Meanwhile, Dr Crockett Marcel and Dr Ethan Choi will be working together on a police officer with a mysterious gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Unfortunately, the promo reveals that April Sexton, Ethan's fiance and nurse at the hospital, will be undergoing a serious medical condition. April has been undergoing fertility treatment as she and Ethan have been trying to get pregnant.

The promo also shows that April might finally be telling Ethan the truth about her kiss with Crockett we saw before the show went on its winter break. The next shot reveals a teared-up Ethan, but whether that is because of April's revelation or her present condition, we will have to wait to find out.

April is being treated by Dr Hannah Asher who is back from rehab after Dr Will Halstead reported her for drugs on the hospital premises a few episodes ago.

It looks like she is now in good shape and though Will apologizes for what he did, she tells him that his actions "gave [her] life back." We have to say, we are liking Hannah and Will together more and more.

In other happy news, we will also see Maggie Lockwood get married. In the last episode, we saw her getting finally cleared of cancer.

'Chicago Med' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights at 8/9c. The next episode will air on March 18.
