In last week's episode of 'Chicago Med', Dr Will Halstead went to the hospital board with a proposal to introduce a safe injection site at the hospital, so that the hospital staff could help addicts who had to get high to manage their addiction.

In Will's flustered presentation, we saw that such a site was never introduced in the United States before, and with a little help from Dr Daniel Charles, it looked like the board would approve Will's proposal.

However, when Gwen Garrett finally rejected it (more due to a personal vendetta than just not agreeing with Will's idea), Will still wanted to go ahead with such a site so he could help patients. And so, he works with a friend at an unsanctioned clinic.

In this week's episode, we will see Will spending a lot more time outside the hospital as he works at the clinic to help patients. While he tries to juggle both his work at the hospital and the clinic, Dr Charles worries that Will could be putting his medical license in jeopardy.

Meanwhile, the other doctors deal with the aftermath of a school bus crash, and when the doctors arrive, they see that a set of steel rods have gone through the bus. Dr Natalie Manning and Dr Crockett Marcel clash over how to save two children through whom a rod has gone through.

While Dr Marcel wants to save both kids, Dr Manning tells him that it's risky and that it is safer to try and save one at a time. However, Dr Marcel is not known for backing down on his ideas. We just hope that his method pays off and that both children are safe.

Finally, Maggie will try to help a friend in need. This could be someone she met while she was undergoing chemotherapy for her cancer. It has been a while since we got to see Maggie in action, and we hope to receive some good news about her diagnosis.

'Chicago Med' airs on NBC on Wednesday nights.
