The former Girls Aloud singer was spotted filming at the Hammersmith Apollo on Tuesday. A source told The Sun that the move was a big deal for Cheryl. “Cheryl’s always been associated with ITV. She was made a star by Popstars: The Rivals. Moving to the BBC is a huge deal for her,” they said.

Cheryl is going to be joined by Britain's Got Talent's Alesha Dixon, and Jordan Banjo, as well as Matthew Morrison from Glee and Oti Mabuse. The show has been slotted for Saturday nights.

Cheryl was rumored to be returning to The X Factor panel along with Simon Cowell. The source, however, had a different story. “It’s a trial run at this point. But everyone is hoping it’ll get the green light. She’s going to be the star of the show. The show is shaping up to be a success. Tuesday was the pilot filming but bosses and Simon have pulled together a strong line-up.”

So is this really a snub? The Greatest Dancer is being produced by Simon Cowell's Syco production firm and is a dance-focused talent competition.

Chery hasn't appeared on The X Factor since 2015. She's a maintained a low profile last year after welcoming her son Bear with boyfriend Liam Payne. She was rumored to make her return to the judge's panel after appearing alongside Simon Cowell.

She was also recently thrown into the spotlight after being spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring on her left hand while greeting Prince Charles at St. James's Palace for The Prince's Trust gala on February 8.
