Chelsea vs Liverpool: Injury concerns for Blues fans ahead of super clash, say 'Liverpool will kick our a**'
Matchweek 2 of the 2020 EPL season will see the clash of two heavyweights — Chelsea and Liverpool. Both sides started with a win over Brighton and Leeds United, respectively. Marcelo Bielsa's men gave the Reds quite a scare at Anfield despite the 4-3 victory while Brighton could score just one goal in response to Chelsea's three. Considering the early stages of the league, both sides will be keen on ironing out the creases. Both will be looking at bagging three points.
Ahead of the game, there have been some impressive signings from both sides. The Blues have completed the signings of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva, and Kai Havertz, while Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool has signed Diogo Jota and Thiago Alacantara. Ahead of the key clash between the two teams, there have already been some discussions and predictions by fans on social media.
Liverpool fans were excited at the prospect of signing Jota and Alacantara, and for some of them, it was a positive sign. "Edwards just did Liverpool's team talk for this week's game vs Chelsea... Thiago and Jota's signing will spur the reds to 3 points now, surely!! YNWA!!" At the other end, Chelsea fans had more than just beating Liverpool in mind. "I never started supporting Chelsea because of beautiful football! I did because we win at all costs. I honestly don't care if we can't string two passes together vs Liverpool, all I want is a win... I wish we can shithouse our way to the PL trophy, making enemies of everyone!" And the outright predictions were out there. "Chelsea gonna win vs Liverpool."

A look at the head-to-heads of both sides shows Liverpool have lost at Stamford Bridge just once in the last six years. Goals from Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino saw them get the better of Chelsea last season. For one of the fans, this match sees a bit of a fan rivalry between family members. "Liverpool Vs Chelsea As I am a Liverpool fan and my Stepdad is a Chelsea fan."

Everyone is excited about the match, except for some, who haven't felt anything yet. "I don't know how I'm feeling about Chelsea vs Liverpool. I'm not excited, nervous, or confident. I don't feel anything," read one of the comments.

If the predictions and family rivalries were one part of the story, there were a few disgruntled Chelsea fans. With their injury list a concern, one fan voiced out his thoughts. "Chelsea never ceases to amaze me. Do you buy a player so that he warms the bench forever or you buy a player to play an improved game? Why are all new signings injured?" This was seconded by another fan: "We legit gathered players from across the world only for them to arrive with injuries...how TF is chiwell appearing in people's pictures everywhere and not in form...now Liverpool will kick our ass and there will be no excuse for the banter."
