'Chaos Walking' Full Cast List: Meet Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, Mads Mikkelsen and rest of the cast of the sci-fi film
There has been a massive influx of movies based on popular book franchises in recent times. From ‘The Lord of the Rings’ to ‘The Hunger Games’, Hollywood has done its best to capitalize on the young adult book genre by adapting numerous book series for the big screen. The formula of adapting books to movies has proved to be quite successful for the industry as it gathers the attention of all the young adults, which makes it easy for them to earn big bucks at the box office.
Lionsgate has joined the bandwagon to bring one such adaptation to the big screen with ‘Chaos Walking’. The upcoming sci-fi movie is based on the book written by Patrick Ness. It follows the journey of a man named Todd Hewitt, played by Tom Holland, and how he comes in contact with the first female presence on The New World named Viola, played by Daisy Ridley.

Apart from Holland and Ridley, the film also has Mads Mikkelsen, Nick Jonas, and Cynthia Erivo in pivotal roles.
Tom Holland as Todd Hewitt
Born on June 1, 1996, as Thomas Stanley Holland, he is an English actor who has made a name for himself by playing Spider-Man in the recent movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He started his career at the age of 14 as a voice actor on the animated series ‘The Secret World of Arrietty’.
In 2012, he featured in the Oscar-nominated movie ‘The Impossible’ alongside Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. The movie received universal acclaim and Holland was praised for his impeccable acting. In 2015, he made his television debut with the miniseries, 'Wolf Hall’, and garnered a lot of positive reviews for his role of Gregory Cromwell.
However, his moment of glory came in 2016 when he was cast as Spider-Man in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. Holland became the youngest actor to play the role of the iconic superhero for Marvel. The role turned out to be life-changing for him as it took his popularity to a whole new level. Holland went on to play the comic-book character in four other movies including ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’.

Daisy Ridley as Viola
Born in 1992, in London, Daisy Ridley loved to perform on stage and gave a lot of performances during her time at school. She won a scholarship to Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire, which she attended from age nine to 18. The actress began her career with minor roles in the television programs 'Youngers’, ‘Toast of London’, ‘Silent Witness’, ‘Mr. Selfridge’ and ‘Casualty’.
In February 2014, Ridley was cast as Rey in the movie ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. At the time, Ridley was totally unknown to the fans of ‘Star Wars’. Prior to her casting in the movie, Ridley worked as a barmaid in two different pubs in London for nearly two years.
The movie turned out to be a gigantic success for the actress and was the highest-grossing film of that year. Her performance was praised by the critics as well as audiences, with some describing it as her “breakout performance".
The actress garnered a lot of praise for her acting and appeared in two more ‘Star Wars’ movies. Apart from ‘Star Wars’, Ridley played a major role in the movie ‘Murder on the Orient Express’.
Mads Mikkelsen as Mayor Prentiss
Mads Mikkelsen is one of the greatest actors of this generation and has enthralled the audiences with many brilliant performances. The star started his career by working on various movies and TV shows in the Danish film industry. He gained prominence with his roles in the first two films of the ‘Pusher’ film trilogy, Ivan in ‘Adam’s Apples’ and Jacob Peterson in ‘After the Wedding’.
The actor achieved worldwide success after playing the main antagonist Le Chiffre in the James Bond flick ‘Casino Royale’. Mikkelsen then started to get a variety of roles in several high-end feature films.
In 2012, he received the best actor award for his career-defining performance as Lucas in the Danish film ‘The Hunt'. In 2013, he appeared in the TV show ‘Hannibal’ as Dr Hannibal Lecter. The actor earned rave reviews but was overlooked at award ceremonies.
Since then, the actor has appeared in projects such as ‘The Salvation’, ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Rogue One’ and ‘Another Round’.
Cynthia Erivo as Hildy
The British actress made a superb entry into Hollywood with ‘Widows’. She went on to act in the movie ‘Harriet’ and garnered two Oscar nominations for the movie, including best actress. The actress will be playing the role of iconic singer Aretha Franklin in Season 4 of the series ‘Genius’.
Apart from the aforementioned projects, Erivo has worked on titles such as ‘Carrier’, ‘The Outsider’ and ‘Hank the Cowdog’.
Nick Jonas as Davis Prentiss Jr
Touted as Hollywood’s most in-demand heartthrob, Nick Jonas is truly one of the finest talents out there. Starting his career as a musician, Jonas has given many hit songs in his illustrious career. Nick formed a band with his brothers, Joe and Kevin, known as the Jonas Brothers. The band achieved a lot of success and produced some of the biggest hits of this generation.
He appeared in the widely successful musical television film ‘Camp Rock’ (2008) and its sequel ‘Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam’ (2010). However, the band went on a hiatus following the release of their fourth album and Nick started to give more attention to his acting career.
Jonas played a major role in the movie ‘Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian’ alongside Ben Stiller. Since then, he has appeared in films and TV shows such as ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’, ‘Smash’, ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and ‘Scream Queens’.
