'Cartel Crew': El Chapo's wife Emma Coronel Aispuro says she finally knows who her friends are

Emma Coronel Aispuro made her debut on 'Cartel Crew' and gave people an insight into who she is as a person.

The latest episode of 'Cartel Crew' gave viewers a surprise as Emma Coronel Aispuro made her debut on the reality show. Emma is the wife of Joaquín Guzmán, the Mexican drug lord also known as El Chapo. Ever since El Chapo was sentenced to life in a supermax prison in America, Emma has been making several appearances in public.

It seems like the reality platform is just another way for her to show the world who she really is. In the episode, Emma hangs out with Marie Ramirez Arellano and her boyfriend  Michael Corleone Blanco, Marie and Michael were worried about visiting Emma at first, but things changed when they started having a conversation.

The three of them enjoyed a few drinks on Emma's yacht as she asked them about their wellbeing. Emma revealed that ever since her husband was arrested she was trying to look on the positive side of things. "Most of the time I try to stay positive," she said. "And not feel sorry for what has happened because it's over and there is nothing we can do. It's better to take the best of what we have."

Despite everything that has happened, Emma believes that the situation has only made them stronger. "We know how to identify people better," she said. "What kind of people are your friends."

Emma also hinted that ever since El Chapo got arrested she has had a sense of who is or is not their friend as she mentioned, "which aren't many, right?" She further added that she felt upset that she was often judged by people who didn't know her. "We are normal," she said. "I consider myself a normal woman and other people often judge me without knowing me. A lot of people start attacking you and then I say, 'well, I can't do this'."

Michael and Marie agreed with what Emma said as they stated that there have been times when they have felt the same.

'Cartel Crew' airs on Mondays at 9 pm on VH1.
