Candace Owens slams Antifa, BLM for 'sending foot soldiers' after small biz, Internet asks 'what about Proud Boys?'

'Hey ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter— maybe instead of sending your foot soldiers to go after innocent small business owners, you may want to divert some attention to the @smithsonian and @kencen who just robbed ALL Americans of over 1 billion dollars of Covid relief," she tweeted

Conservative author and political commentator Candace Owens ripped into the Antifa and the Black Lives Matter movements, condemning them of "sending your foot soldiers to go after innocent small business owners."

"Hey ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter— maybe instead of sending your foot soldiers to go after innocent small business owners, you may want to divert some attention to the @smithsonian and @kencen who just robbed ALL Americans of over 1 billion dollars of Covid relief," she tweeted on Tuesday, December 22, alluding to the provisions to create Smithsonian museums dedicated to American women and Latinx history, included in the new relief package, which has been vetoed by President Donald Trump.

The aid will only provide $600 stimulus checks for Americans. As a result, Trump called the bill "wasteful", demanding that it include $2,000 direct payments and challenged Congress to remove "unnecessary" funding in the bill.

A number of social media users agreed with Owens. "Wonderful thought! It'll never happen. Sad....Damn Sad!" one of them said, while another wrote, "That would require logical independent thought..." A third commented, "It is a corporate world. Doesn't matter whether it is in the developed nations or in the developing nations." One more quipped, "Should the proud boys stay home?" Another remarked, "Yeah but that's not really their thing though so it seems."

One of them wrote, "They don’t care about that because they are receiving more money under the table." The next tweeted, "Wow. I've reached the point where me and Candace Owens agree on something.... You Win 2020!" One more said, "They need to drag Congress out of their offices." Another pointed out, "And the Kennedy Center Slush Fund." A commenter reacted with, "Yeah. Although it should be noted that burning those places down wouldn't help us." And one of them said, "Not their cup of tea." Another asked, "Why haven't you said anything negative about Trump and the so called Proud Boys starting a riot on Jan.6th in Washington DC?"

Owens has frequently asked where portions of the relief bill were going and directly pointed at the fundings of the Smithsonian and the Kennedy Center. "Who the hell is sitting on the board at the Smithsonian and the Kennedy Center?" she tweeted on Monday. "In each Coronavirus stimulus package, millions and now more than a billion dollars is being rerouted to them, while Americans suffer. There is obvious corruption going on."

In a rare moment of bipartisanship, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday, December 22, responded to Trump’s call for a boost in the stimulus funds exhibiting her willingness to push for the $2,000 checks the top executive sought. “Let’s do it,” she said. In a tweet, the California Congresswoman said: “Republicans repeatedly refused to say what amount the President wanted for direct checks.” She added: “At last, the President has agreed to $2,000 — Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it!”

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer appeared to call on the president to pass the bill as it stood currently, after Pelosi’s tweet came, suggesting the Congress could pass more relief funds in a subsequent aid package. He expressed his approval over the final bill even though it lacked the $160 billion in new state and local aid the Democrats were previously seeking to be included, the Hill reported. “Trump needs to sign the bill to help people and keep the government open and we're glad to pass more aid Americans need,” the New York senator wrote on Twitter. “We spent months trying to secure $2000 checks but Republicans blocked it...Maybe Trump can finally make himself useful and get Republicans not to block it again,” he wrote.
