The Calgary Flames announced their entry in style when they thumped the Dallas Stars 3-2 in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on August 11. It was a tight game for Dallas as they failed to stop a confident Dillon Dube from scoring twice in the first period. However, the best of seven series is far from over, and here's a quick primer ahead of their second clash on August 13.

Time

The Flames vs Stars clash is scheduled 10.30 pm ET on Thursday, August 13, 2020.

Venue

Both sides will take on each other at Rogers Place, Edmonton, the arena for all Western Conference games.

Where to watch

The games will be televised on NBCSN. The August 16 clash can be viewed on CNBC.

How to live stream

The Stanley Cup Playoffs can also be live-streamed on the NBC Sports app as well as NBCSports.com. Other options include YouTube TV, Sling TV and Hulu with Live TV that provides access to viewers to watch the games at reasonable prices.

Pre-buzz around Game 2

Dillon Dube will be the cynosure of all eyes again after his heroics in the first game for the Flames. Talking about the win, coach Geoff Ward said: "I think the guys have done a really good job being committed from the defensive side of the puck." According to Winners and Whiners, Flames's 33.3 percent power-play success rate during the playoffs is first in the NHL. For the Stars, right-winger Jamie Benn would be keen to dish out an encore of his performance.

Goaltender Ben Bishop and center Tyler Seguin are on the injury list for the Stars while the Flames reported no injury concerns.

Who will win?

The series is long and while the Flames have emerged on top at the moment, there's less room for complacency and should they continue in the same vein and take advantage of the Stars defense, this series could be over quite quickly. With a steady defense, the focus for the Flames will be on scoring more consistently. We're tipping the scales in Calgary's favor here at the moment.
