'BTS is coming': K-pop band to collab with Benny Blanco despite their 'hiatus', fans say 'I thought we were on break'

Ever since it was first teased by Snoop Dogg in the past, the long-awaited collab single featuring the American rapper and the South Korean boy band BTS fans had been eagerly waiting for it to be released. As the months passed, fans started thinking that the single would never see the light of day as there was no new update on it from the artists involved. But it seems like now the single would be the official end of BTS' infamous hiatus. 

But, as of July 21, the collab single from BTS and Snoop Dogg has been announced for a release in August featuring American record producer Benny Blanco. On July 20, Benny took to Twitter to tease the release of the single as he spoke to BTS' lead producer and chairman of HYBE, Bang Si-hyuk (Bang PD) on a video call. Benny's bad decision yielded him a fruitful result as he is all set to collab with BTS on a new single titled, 'Bad Decisions' featuring Snoop Dogg making it the collab of the century.

BTS to release a new collab this August

On July 21, the songwriter released a new video of his video chat with BTS' vocal line made up of members Jin, Jimin, V (Kim Taehyung), and Jungkook. In the new video, the American producer asks the members if he could join the boy group but the vocal line blatantly negates the offer. They however offer a compromise and state they could work together to make “the best song in the entire world.” Soon after that, Benny Blanco released a schedule for the collab single titled, 'Bad Decisions' from BTS and Snoop Dogg.

The new single 'Bad Decisions' will be released later in August this year and will be a collaboration between BTS, Snoop Dogg, and Benny Blanco that will premiere on Benny Blanco’s YouTube channel on August 5 at 1 pm KST (12 am ET). The lyric video for the song will be released a day later on BTS’s YouTube channel on August 6 at 1 pm KST (12 am ET).

As soon as this announcement was made, fans were shocked by the fact that BTS was still releasing new music as a boy group despite announcing their controversial hiatus back in June. Only a month after their hiatus, BTS has now announced the release of their new collab single 'Bad Decisions' that has fans questioning the boy group's hiatus as they trend 'BTS is Coming' on Twitter. One fan said, "I thought we were on a break , bts is coming!!!" Another fan said, "I THOUGHT WE WERE ON A BREAK BTS CHAPTER 2 - NO REST FOR ARMYS It looks like no rest for Armys AUGUST IS FOR BTS BAD DECISIONS IS COMING BTS IS COMING."

One more fan said, "This is literally the first thing I thought of when I saw “ I thought we were on a break “ Hahahahaha when did bts say WE were the ones on break. Army never take breaks." A fan said, "I thought we were on a break. Whose looking forward to hearing the new sound of the summer?"
