AUSTRALIA: A British ski instructor laughed while he viciously raped a woman at a ski resort. He then beat a man unconscious after he tried to save her. The ski instructor has now been jailed for ten years for his crimes.

Matthew Williams attacked a 22-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man last year in June in Jindabyne in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains.

Williams pleaded guilty to the attack in April.

Given the horrific injuries that the man and woman suffered, the police had initially thought that there was more than one attacker.

At the time of the incident, the Brit man was on a temporary working visa and was employed as a ski instructor at the Blue Cow Perisher Ski Resort.

CCTV footage showed Williams pursuing the victims after leaving the Banjo Patterson Inn, as reported by DailyMail

The court was told how the pair had been drinking with their friends and family at the pub and were also on MDMA at the time.

Williams had been drinking at the same pub as the pair.

Williams then followed the pair for a while and then punched the man in the face.

As he fell to the ground, Williams started to kick him until he was unconscious.

Williams then proceeded to punch the woman until she fell and laughed at her as she lost consciousness.

When she woke up, Williams had pinned her to the ground and ripped her clothes off.

Her male friend regained consciousness and tried to fight back but was kicked into submission.

The assault ended when a passing car spooked Williams who then fled the scene.

The woman and the man were taken to the doctor where it was found that the man had a broken nose and a broken eye socket.

The day after the attack, a co-worker observed how Williams looked off and asked if he was okay. Williams responded saying, "I had a rough, rough night last night."

Another co-worker noticed that Williams had injuries on his hand though Williams claimed it was from a ski accident.

DNA testing revealed that Williams was the attacker.

He had initially denied his involvement in the attack but pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault, inflicting actual bodily harm with intent to have sexual intercourse with another, and possessing a prohibited drug in April.

He will not be eligible for parole for seven years.
