A young man wants his jail term reduced after he was sentenced to 11 years for dousing his girlfiend in petrol and setting her on fire. The man had been mentally and physcially abusive towards his girlfriend for a while before the attack. Now, the attacker has appealed for a term reduction saying he did not purposely set his his girlfriend alight and had even genuinely tried to "quench the flame."
In May 2016, Kyesha Finemore was covered in severe burns from head to toe after a vicious attack by boyfriend Brae Taylor Lewis in Marsden, south of Brisbane, Daily Mail reports.
