TOLEDO, OHIO: The search for Braylen Noble, 3, has now come to an end. The police have confirmed that the young boy's body was found on Wednesday, September 9. Braylen, who was non-verbal, had disappeared from an apartment located on the third floor of Hunter's Ridge Apartments in Toledo with his mother, Dajnae Cox, fearing that he had fallen out of the window on September 4.

According to Toledo Blade, the authorities had surrounded the pool area at the apartment complex on Wednesday. A Toledo Police Department spokesperson stated that a child's deceased body had been recovered from inside the swimming pool and the Lucas County Coroner's Office has confirmed that it is Noble. As reported by WTOL, the coroner's office will be performing an autopsy on Thursday morning, September 10, in order to determine the cause of death.

The search had begun last Friday after Braylen's grandmother called the police as she and the boy's mother could not find him. The pool had been searched by divers on the day but nothing had been found at the time. Six days later, the child's body was found in the water. It has been reported that the mother and grandmother of the child were escorted away from the apartment complex by the police. They were not seen in handcuffs.

The authorities also say that it is common to revisit already searched areas during an investigation to see if anything was missed. On Wednesday night, more than 100 people gathered for a candlelight vigil in honor Braylen in front of Hunters Ridge apartments. The organizer of the vigil, Talaya Hill, said, "This is Toledo, we love everybody, you see everybody is all different colors out here, there's not just one specific group of people." Hill added, "I felt like this was a better way of grieving when you're around a lot of people that's feeling the way you're feeling, so, the love is much needed, especially for the family."

As per an NBC report, Braylen, who has autism, was last seen wearing a red and white Mickey Mouse shirt. The authorities along with rescue crews had been hunting the area around the child's home but found no sign of the child at all. The authorities also searched the nearby Swan Creek, which is a nearby swimming pool, and all the areas in between. The Toledo Police had earlier taken to their Twitter handle and written, "Update: TPD, Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, and Toledo Metroparks Officers are conducting an area search - searching surrounding buildings, dumpsters, under vehicles, and more. Drones are in the air, TFRD Water Rescue is working Swan Creek, K9s are also being utilized."

Social media users took to Twitter to comment on the news of Noble's body being found. One such user commented, "Tiny silver lining that there's now some closure, but this whole situation is so incredibly sad." Another added, "RiP, sweet angel."
