Why is 'Southern Charm' Episode 8 not airing this week? What to expect when the show returns
Bravo-backed 'Southern Charm' is tackling a lot of issues simultaneously. Relationships are being tested every step of the way. But not all is grim and disappointing. Patricia Altschul is busy keeping up with her high-profile life, John Pringle is hopeful about finding love. But what's happening to the rest of the cast members is unfortunate, they are dealing with a lot on the personal front. 'Southern Charm' will return from a 3-week break on January 7.
Danni Baird and Kathryn Dennis's friendship has hit rock bottom after they had an altercation about the latter not keeping in touch. What really fuelled the bitterness among the former BFFs was conversations with Leva Bonaparte, during which Danni realized that maybe she cared for Kathryn more than she should. The ex-friends do not share the camaraderie they once did and it would not be wrong to assume that it will take them a while before everything falls back into place.
Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy are not in a good place as well. They had a bitter fight soon after Austen came down with the coronavirus. She blamed him for partying around Charleston with his boys knowing that he regularly interacts with her and her son, Hudson. On the surface, it seemed like a problem that could have been dealt with by just having a simple chat. Turns out, for Madison, Austen showing no signs of being a responsible adult, is too much to take. She politely rejects the relationship, which Austen has not been able to process. And so, when they finally meet at the day out with friends in Episode 8, the two flip out and curse each other. Off the show, Austen and Madison have confirmed their split but it is yet to play out fully on the show.
What to expect when the show resumes?
The big day out that will feature most of the castmates will help make or break relationships. From the looks of it, there's going to be a lot of tears and abuses as the Charleston charmers try to embrace the madness that their lives have been.
