'Botched': Dolly Parton lookalike Haley is stuck with leaking breasts after surgery, can Dr Dubrow save her?
Dolly Parton lookalike Haley had always wanted to get breast implants and it wasn't a surprise to people close to her when she got 650 CC implants. While Haley was happy with the change that the implants brought in, she knew it was not enough. She decided to increase the size of the implants and went from 650 CC to 1,200 CC just three months after.
While she thought everything was under control, several months after the surgery she noticed "a scab or something" under her left breast. Haley decided to meet a doctor to ensure it was nothing serious. However, when she consulted, the answer was not something she was hoping to hear.
"I went to a doctor and, I mean, he looked at it and instantly he was like, 'That's not a scab, that's your implant,'" she told Dr Terry Dubrow and Dr Paul Nassif. He said, 'There's a possibility I'm gonna have to take both your implants out. You're gonna have to stay without implants for three to six months and you're gonna have to recover.'"
Dr Dubrow and Dr Nassif were happy to hear the advice the doctor had given her. However, they were shocked to find out that it wasn't the route that was followed. Haley revealed she was not too keen on removing her implants and wanted a way to work around it. The doctor agreed and two days later she underwent emergency surgery. During the surgery, while the doctor removed her old implants, they immediately decided to put in new ones. Dr Dubrow knew right then that this was going to be a disaster. Whoa, whoa, whoa! Go back for a second," a shocked Dr. Dubrow reacted to hearing Haley's story.
Haley admitted that it was the same volume. She continued her story and revealed that after the surgery, one day she woke up and realized "liquid coming out of an incision in the breast area, it almost always means that there's a leak from a seroma, which is inflammatory fluid and the wound is falling apart."
Dr Dubrow stated it was a "total disaster". In response to this condition, Haley's doctor put her on antibiotics and removed the implants. However, he once again put in new ones. "Are you kidding me?" Dr Dubrow exclaimed. "O-M-F-F-F-G! That is just insane. Wow, you're lucky to be alive." He explained that resistant bacteria could have grown into an "untreatable breast infection." He further revealed, "that's how flesh-eating disease happens." Despite this, he decided to look into Haley's condition and examine what can be done.
Once Dr Dubrow examined Haley's breasts, he was surprised to find out that the wound had healed. However, he noticed that Haley's areola and nipples were touching the ribs. Dr Dubrow warned her that in a couple of years it would threaten her life and it might be time to reduce her implants.
Haley looked disappointed hearing this as she did not want to remove the implants. However, she knew it was time to think about it. While Haley decided to keep the implants, she hinted that it might not be the case for a long time.
