Starstruck Blue Ivy sweetly asks LeBron James for signed ball after Lakers win and he promises her the 'memento'
At the age of eight, Jay-Z and Beyonce's daughter, Blue Ivy is a full-blown basketball fan! She proved that she was a true fangirl on March 8 when she attended Los Angeles Lakers Vs. Los Angeles Clippers game at the Staples Center with her father.
Throughout the game, JAY-Z — dressed casually in a gray sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers, a gold chain, and a Rhude baseball cap — enjoyed the game with one arm around his eldest daughter.
After cheering the Lakers to a win, an excited Blue Ivy, who was visibly shy, approached LeBron James on the court and asked him for an autographed basketball.
The adorable moment captured by ESPN. Blue Ivy, who was wearing an oversized denim jacket with the words “BLUE IS MY NAME” printed in white on the back along with a pair of Fendi combat boots, accompanied her father with a smile as they both congratulated the NBA legend. Then she gave a big smile as she requested James for a memento.
“Okay, I got you,” James told her. “You got school on Monday?” After Blue nodded her head, the NBA player told her, “By the time you get out of school on Monday, you’ll have it.”
The 8-year-old is not just into sports. She is also growing up to be quite a musician. A source told People Magazine in July that Blue “loves singing, dancing and performing” just like her well-known mother. She scored her first Billboard Hot 100 song for “Brown Skin Girl."
“Of course both Beyoncé and Blue love music,” the source said. “She is natural. She is very sassy, high energy and knows what she wants. Especially after the twins were born, Beyoncé made sure that Blue was able to embrace her new role as a big sister. She also lets her go to video shoots, award shows, and music recording. They have a very special bond!”
