Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B Jordan get pretty flirty... spark dating rumors
Fans have been theorizing that Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B. Jordan are a secret couple after a video of what appears to be them kissing was uploaded to Marvel Entertainment's official Twitter account.
Two of Hollywood's hottest stars Michael B Jordan and Lupita Nyong'o are rumored to be in a relationship after fans noticed their undeniable chemistry while scrutinizing their interactions during promotions for new Marvel movie Black Panther.
In a video on Marvel Entertainment's official Twitter account, the two are seen at a Q&A session, greeting each other. Then Michael holds Lupita as she takes her seat, before leaning in for what appears to be a kiss. The video ends at the moment their heads meet, leaving fans speculating about what is really going on between them.
It's not just this video. Fans have noticed that they seem to have some noticeably tender moments in other photos from their promotions, and think that the two secretly hit it off during filming for Black Panther.
They recently had a highly suggestive Twitter exchange that sent fans into a tizzy, trying to figure out if they were flirting openly or talking about an actual cake, but then they clarified that the tweets were sent as a part of a dare on MTV's SafeWord.
If the rumors are true, their couplehood would be ironic, considering that Lupita plays Nakia who is the love interest of the titular character, king T'Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, whereas Michael plays the villain N'Jadaka aka Erik Killmonger, whom Nakia vows vengeance on.
Perhaps their intense fight scenes in the movie generated some passion of a different intensity, but the two do not have any other upcoming project together. Since Michael's character was killed off, it is unlikely that the two will appear together in any sequels Marvel may have planned for Black Panther.
Michael is set to star in a television film Fahrenheit 451 in late 2018 as the protagonist. The movie is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Ray Bradbury and will be distributed by HBO. He also has a number of other projects lined up, including a biopic of social justice activist and lawyer Bryan Stevenson titled Just Mercy and a film based on the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal titled Wrong Answer.
Lupita, meanwhile, has her hands full, as she is writing her first book, Sulwe, and is also set to produce and star in a television series based on the novel Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
