‘Black Mirror’ Season 6 cast revealed: Zazie Beetz, Aaron Paul, and Kate Mara to star in Netflix show
The upcoming season of 'Black Mirror' will have a fresh cast. Netflix's famous anthology series is preparing for its long-awaited comeback with a star-studded lineup for Season 6.
The new season of the show is currently believed to be in the works. Anjana Vasan, Auden Thornton, Clara Rugaard, Danny Ramirez, Kate Mara, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, Paapa Essiedu, and Zazie Beetz are among the new actors cast in the show, according to sources. This casting is for three episodes, and it is expected that more actors will join the cast for future episodes of the show. In May, it was confirmed that a new season of the dystopian drama was in the works.

Aaron Paul is best known for his role as Walter White in 'Breaking Bad', while Kate Mara has been in shows such as 'American Horror Story' and 'House of Cards'. Josh Hartnett, a former teen idol, is recognized for his work in films such as '40 Days And 40 Nights', 'The Virgin Suicides' and 'Pearl Harbour'. Paapa Essiedu recently co-starred in the horror thriller 'Men' with Jessie Buckley, and he also acted in the critically praised comedy-drama 'I May Destroy You'.
Danny Ramirez appeared in the blockbuster 'Top Gun: Maverick' and his next movie will be 'Look Both Ways'. Auden Thornton is most recognized for her role as Lucy Damon on 'This Is Us', while Anjana Vasan previously appeared in 'We Are Lady Parts'.
Though not much is known about the acclaimed dystopian anthology series at the moment, insiders have revealed that the forthcoming season will include more episodes than the previous one. Season five included only three episodes, however, each episode lasted more than an hour. Season five starred 'Candyman' actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, 'That 70s Show' actor Topher Grace, 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' star Anthony Mackie, and 'Wrecking Ball' singer Miley Cyrus. According to Variety, a source connected to the show stated it will be even more "cinematic," with each episode treated as a feature.

Season 5 of 'Black Mirror' debuted on Netflix three years ago in June 2019. The next season is the first to be released since creator Charlie Brooker and his creative collaborator Annabel Jones abandoned their production firm House of Tomorrow, which was financed by Endemol Shine Group in January 2020, and established themselves under the new production banner Broke and Bones. Soon after, Netflix made a large investment in the firm, valued at up to $100 million.
For a time, the show's future was uncertain because the rights to 'Black Mirror' remained with Endemol Shine, which was bought by Banijay Group in 2018. However, an agreement was finally reached that allowed Banijay to license the show to Netflix. 'Black Mirror' premiered on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom for two seasons before migrating to Netflix and reaching a broader worldwide audience.
The show has received several accolades, including eight Primetime Emmys and a Peabody Award.
