Starz is coming out with an all new drama which looks highly promising. 'Black Mafia Family' is an upcoming American drama television series, which follows the Black Mafia Family, a drug and money laundering organization. 'Black Mafia Family' makes its season debut on September 26,2021.

The series follows the Flenory brothers who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980's and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country. With a mix of charismatic leadership and business acumen, the fraternal brothers make their name known on a global level. Drugs, hip-hop, loyalty and hustle influence this dangerous affair. This is a story about love, family, and capitalism in the pursuit of the American dream. Cast

Russell Hornsby 

Russell Hornsby is an American actor. Hornsby was born in San Francisco, California. He was a football player at St. Mary’s College High School in Berkeley, California. He auditioned for a spring musical and got the role of the Scarecrow in The Wiz. After that, he became very interested in theatre and acting and was highly involved with the rest of the school theatrical productions. After graduating, he studied theater at Boston University, from which he graduated with a degree in performance. After graduation, Hornsby continued his studies at the British American Drama Academy. Hornsby moved to New York City and was subsequently cast in leading roles in Off Broadway productions of 'To Kill a Mockingbird', 'Joe Louis Blues', and 'Six Degrees of Separation'.His television credits include 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Law & Order', and 'In Justice among others'.On the big screen, he has appeared in such films as 'After the Sunset', 'Big Fat Liar', 'Baby', 'Meet the Parents', and Stuck among others.He starred in the NBC fantasy drama 'Grimm' and in the Netflix crime drama 'Seven Seconds'. He plays Charles Flenory in 'Black Mafia Family'.

Steve Harris 

Steve Harris is an American actor. He was featured in the documentary Hoop Dreams due to his skills.He completed his studies in 1992, earning a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Theater from the Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of Delaware. Harris appeared on 'Law & Order' and earlier had a role in 'Homicide: Life on the Street's pilot. He also appeared in an episode of 'Grey's Anatomy'. He appeared in several episodes of 'New York Undercover' and has appeared in a number of films including; 'Quarantine', Tyler Perry's 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman' and Minority Report amongst others. Harris starred in actress Regina King's directorial debut 'Let The Church Say Amen' which was adapted from ReShonda Tate Billingsley's 2005 best-selling novel. He has also appeared in the TNT show 'Legends', playing Nelson Gates, the boss of troubled FBI agent Martin Odum. He plays the role of Detective Bryant in 'Black Mafia Family'.

Demetrius Flenory Jr

Demetrius "Lil Meech" Flenory Jr. is an American actor, vocalist, rapper, and entertainer. He portrays Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory, his father on the Starz original crime drama 'Black Mafia Family'.

Da'Vinchi 

Da'Vinchi, born Abraham D. Juste, is a Haitian-American actor who's incredibly charismatic. Starting his career in NYC as a spoken word artist and rapper, he quickly fell into the acting realm. Studying the craft under one of his mentors Marc John Jeffries, Da'Vinchi booked 'Marvel's Jessica Jones', and then a recurring role on ABC's hit show 'Grown-ish' at the beginning of his career. Da'Vinchi has proven to be a future prominent force in Hollywood playing alongside Ben Affleck in 'The Way Back', guest starring in the CW's popular sports drama 'All American' and signing onto one of the top agencies in the business, APA, in just under 2 years. Da'Vinchi also has a passion for philanthropy and plans on using his platform to help the youth find their purpose and identify their gift. He stars as Terry Flenory in 'Black Mafia Family'.

Snoop Dogg 

Calvin Cordozar Broadus, known professionally as Snoop Dogg is an American rapper, songwriter, media personality, actor, and businessman. His fame dates to 1992 when he featured on Dr. Dre's debut solo single, 'Deep Cover', and then on Dre's debut solo album, 'The Chronic'. Broadus has since sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide. He is also set to star in a recurring role as Pastor Swift in 'Black Mafia Family'.

Michole Briana White 

Michole Briana White is a Chicago native who became certain of her dream to be an artist at the age of 12 when introduced to modeling which led to acting. Now a seasoned vet in the world of theatre, film, television and commercials she hasa number of credits to her name.White is known for her role as attorney Fatima Kelly in the A&E series '100 Centre Street'. She has also guest-starred in a number of notable television series namely 'L.A. Law', 'The Wonder Years', 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air', 'Family Matters, Blossom', 'Martin', 'Living Single', 'Ellen', 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' and among other series. She also had a regular role in the WB sitcom 'Muscle'. She also participated in the original Off-Broadway production of August Wilson's 'Jitney'. White has also co-starred in the films 'Encino Man', 'Courage Under Fire', 'Volcano', 25th Hour and 'She Hate Me'and the film 'Faster'. In 2009, she co-starred in the traveling stage production 'Stick Fly'. She stars as Lucille on 'BMF'.

Ajiona Alexus  

Ajiona Alexus Brown is an American actress and started her career in 2008, at the age of 12 . Alexus was born on March 16, 1996 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She studied Theater Arts at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. She is known for her roles in 'The Rickey Smiley Show', 'Empire', '13 Reasons Why', 'Acrimony', and 'Breaking In'. Brown will be playing the role of Kato in 'BMF'.

Eminem 

Marshall Bruce Mathers III, known professionally as Eminem, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Eminem is among the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated worldwide sales of over 220 million records. He is credited with popularizing hip hop in Middle America and is critically acclaimed as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Eminem's global success and acclaimed works are widely regarded as having broken racial barriers for the acceptance of white rappers in popular music. He set to make an appearance as White Boy Rick in 'BMF'.

Eric Kofi-Abrefa 

Eric Kofi-Abrefa is an actor. He is best known for his roles in 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom', 'Fury' and 'Snowden'. He portrays Mark Bailey in Netflix sci-fi crime-drama series 'The One'. He will star in 'BMF' as Lamar.

Myles Truitt 

Myles Truitt is an American actor who was included in Variety's 2018 "Young Hollywood Impact Report" of talent poised for breakthrough. Truitt became interested in acting at the age of 11. He made his debut as young Ronnie DeVoe in 'The New Edition Story'. He continued acting in minor roles on television until he made his big-screen debut in 'Kin'. Truitt also co-starred in a pivotal flashback episode of the Emmy-winning FX comedy 'Atlanta', which focused on middle-school bullying. Truitt also co-stars on OWN's 'Queen Sugar' and the CW's 'Black Lightning'. Truitt has worked with 'The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta', performing a powerful solo during the presentation of 'Soweto.' A lover of the arts, and with aspirations to write, direct and produce original content, he has toured across HBCU campuses for a variety of youth presentations. He stars as B-Mickie in 'BMF'.
