In the coming week, we see cast members of 'Black Ink Crew: Chicago' indulge in a bit of fun after all the tragedy that hit them. They raise a toast to mama Glenda and the full life she lived, and the many lives she touched with her positivity and openness.

But the fun begins to fade when Jessica flirts with Ryan, or at least it seems like she does, and Kitty doesn't like it one bit. Jessica walks up to Ryan and cracks a risque joke as Kitty looks on aghast. Is it just her sense of humor that bothers Kitty or is there more to what she is feeling? Only time will tell.

Kitty and Ryan have been on good terms despite the ruckus that took place at 9mag. Even in the preview, we get a  glimpse of their friendship, where she casually hints at taking up a role at 2nd City Ink, assuring that he will be seeing more of her. How did that happen? Charmaine was so moved by Kitty's gesture (of doing Glenda's makeup) she offered her a job at her tattoo shop and that too at Glenda's funeral.

Even though Ryan seemed pleasantly surprised by the news, Jessica was completely taken aback because she thought Charmaine would at least discuss it with her before openly offer a job role to someone. Is she plain worried about Kitty turning out to be another Zach or is she jealous of her and the fact that Kitty is closer to Ryan than she is?

What's Kitty and Ryan's story?

Kitty and Ryan have been part of a controversy, which had Tati blaming Kitty of having sex with Ryan. And that cost her a lot. Even though they've both consistently denied the gossip, it never leaves them. A couple of weeks ago, they were spotted together at a lounge and the two hit it off immediately.  Later, they left for the night after Kitty asked if Ryan could show him around town. Fans online loved their camaraderie and have been hoping they take their friendship forward. Meanwhile, Kitty too hasn't ruled out the possibility of dating Ryan in the future.

Could Ryan and Jessica hit it off?

If their honest interactions at New Orleans' rented property (where they were all put up so that they could attend Charmaine's mother Glenda's funeral) are any proof, then well they could be an item or may just remain good friends. Both Ryan and Jessica spent a good amount of time knowing each other. The artists had a drawn-out conversation about their style of tattooing and ended up appreciating each other's works.

Ryan was really interested in knowing how Jessica pulled off tattoos that surrounded realism, whereas the 2nd City Ink co-founder admitted to being surprised at the way Ryan would ace freehand tattoos, in which he would just use a sketch pen and make the designs on the canvas itself.

Meanwhile, fans online are hating Jessica for hitting on Ryan because they want him to pair up with Kitty.

"I knewww Jess ass was on to something! Ain’t show one bit of remorse for Charmaine or Kitty’s loss at that funeral. So focused on losing to Kitty... Ryan definitely doesn’t want you #blackinkchi #blackinkcrew," a fan wrote.

"That girl likes Ryan, that’s why she doesn’t want Charmaine hiring her because she knows he likes Kitty. #BlackInkCrewCHI," one fan posted. Another shared: "I was wondering why Jess was throwing Kit so much shade.... she jealousssss  She want Ryan lmao #BlackInkCrewCHI."
