AMAs 2020: Billie Eilish steals the show with 'Therefore I am', Internet is ready to 'die for' her

Set in a red background, Billie Eilish with her killer looks put on the world premiere performance of her latest single, 'Therefore I Am' at the 48th American Music Awards. The awards show, which is held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, will recognize the most popular artists and albums of the year. The nominations were officially announced by 'Good Morning America' on October 26, 2020, by Dua Lipa. 

Eilish rocked her black and green hair, along with long acrylic nails, as she delivered her mind-blowing performance. She is nominated for two categories at this year's ceremony, including Favorite Social Artist and Favorite Artist -- Alternative Rock. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, Eilish stated that the track, which includes lyrics like, "So go have fun. I really couldn't care less. And you can give 'em my best, but just know I'm not your friend or anything," is "very, very up for interpretation." 

"I'm very curious to see what people get from it and also what they feel when they hear it... It's a little mean. I love it," she said during her interview. "It was very fun to complete. It was fun to record... It feels like me... If I think about it from an outside perspective, this one I'd be satisfied if I was a fan."

Some of the other top artists performing include Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Maluma, the Weeknd, Kenny G, Dua Lipa, Dan + Shay, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny with Jhay Cortez, Lil Baby and BTS. Viewers can watch the show on the ABC app or their website with a TV provider login. AT&T TV Now, Hulu With Live TV, YouTube TV and other live television streaming services can also provide access to ABC. Roddy Ricch and the Weeknd are the most nominated artists with eight, followed by Megan Thee Stallion with five. 

As soon as the performance started people started reacting to it, as one Internet wanted to be the "wall" behind Eilish as he wrote, "I never wanted to be a wall more than now @billieeilish" While another one wrote, "not offense but billie eilish is hotter than you #AMAs." One fan complained, "Nope she whispered like she didn’t want us to hear what she was saying. I didn’t hear a thing either". "Oh my god billie eilish is so beautiful how does she even exist," tweeted a fan while another posted, "Not to be dramatic or anything but I would die for Billie Eilish"
