'Big Sky': Meet Ryan Phillippe, Kylie Bunbury and the rest of the cast of ABC's thriller series
Shows are slowly trudging back after the pandemic as life limps back to some semblance of normalcy. There are new shows too, and one of them is ABC's 'Big Sky' that promises to be a thrilling one. The show has been adapted from the series by CJ Box who serves as executive producer on the show.
The synopsis for the first episode of 'Big Sky' reads, “While on a road trip to visit her boyfriend in Montana, Danielle Sullivan and her sister Grace are kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote part of the highway, setting off a chain of events that leads private detectives Cody Hoyt and Cassie Dewell to team up with Cody’s estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for the sisters. But when the investigators discover these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, it’s clear they’ve stumbled onto something much bigger than them all.”

Ryan Phillippe as Cody Hoyt
Phillippe came to fame with roles such as 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', 'Cruel Intentions', '54', 'The Lincoln Lawyer', 'Flags Of Our Fathers' and 'Gosford Park'. He also had the lead role as Bob Lee Swagger in the USA Network thriller drama 'Shooter'.
Kylie Bunbury as Cassie Dewell
Bunbury is known for her work in 'Prom', 'The Sitter' and 'Game Night'.
Katheryn Winnick as Jenny Hoyt
Winnick is known for her roles in 'Amusement' (2008), 'Bones' (2010), 'A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III' (2012), 'Vikings' (2013–2020), 'The Art of the Steal' '(2013), 'Polar' (2019) and 'Wu Assassins' (2019).
The rest of the cast includes Brian Geraghty as Ronald Pergman, Dedee Pfeiffer as Denise Brisbane, Natalie Alyn Lind as Danielle Sullivan, Jade Pettyjohn as Grace Sullivan, Jesse James Keitel as Jerrie Kennedy and John Carroll Lynch as Rick Legarski.
'Big Little Lies' and 'The Undoing' creator David E Kelley serves as showrunner, along with Paul McGuigan is the director. 'Big Sky' will air on ABC on Tuesdays at 10 pm.
