Da'Vonne Rogers was voted out on Thursday's episode of 'Big Brother' Season 22. She was on the chopping block with Kevin 'KC' Campbell, who received two votes for elimination. Though her exit speech was impactful and hinting towards how she wanted to continue her journey in the house, once she was out and chatting with host Julie Chen, Da'Vonne said that she was "relieved" to be out of the house because it was getting tough for her to deal with the fakeness.

Ever since she was named for elimination, Da'Vonne promised herself she won't give the housemates the satisfaction of seeing her campaign for votes. She even shared with Kevin how the house had begun to drain her and that she was losing her voice. What she had become over the weeks was shocking to her because she wasn't raised to be weak. Her mother raised a strong Black queen but she chose to keep quiet because she wanted to be the first person of color to win the show.

That was exactly what she pointed out in her exit speech, which was extremely impactful. However, fans disagree. They thought she turned a game into a "race issue" and played the race card to stay in the house.

"#BigBrother Tonight's racist speech by Devon was the most disgusting thing I've seen in all the seasons I've watched. She turn a game into a race issue and played the race card. She thinks being black means you should win. Sorry but your color means nothing, it's a game," a user expressed, while another shared: "#BigBrother. MILLIONS of strong black women in the country, they just don't run around screaming hey, hey look at me I'm a strong black women...it's embarrasing for her, she needs to stop. I know she's strong and black, never questioned it."

"Never once have I watched a single episode of BB and thought that the people entering the house were black or white. I only saw people playing a game and trying to win. I know that times are tough but please do not use a gameshow as a playform #BigBrother," a fan expressed, while another pointed out: "She’s saying she should win because she’s black. She’s said before that she won’t vote out a person of color. It’s a strategic game, this is the exact opposite."

"Da’Vonne all you did this season, was play the black card. This isn’t the place to play that card every single time. #BigBrother," a viewer wrote.
