Beyoncé and Jay-Z announce new date for On the Run tour
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have announced the return of the On the Run tour
In case you missed 'On the Run I', you're in luck. Jay-Z and Beyoncé have announced the return of the On the Run tour. The power couple announced their comeback tour when Bey posted teasers for their upcoming tour.
The couple had previously retracted their concert confirmation after briefly announcing it on social media. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to note that a new page popped up on UK's Ticketmaster site titled' ‘Beyoncé and Jay Z tickets'. The page was also quickly deleted, but not before excited fans took screenshots and shared them on social media.
The first 'On the Run' tour took place in 2014. This was after the released of Jay-Z's album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' and Bey's self-titled album, 'Beyoncé'.
The rumors of their return tour have been floating around ever since 'On the Run 1'. But in the years since their first tour together, Beyoncé and Jay-Z haven't really seen a blissful marital life. They have both been open about the strifes they have both faced and released separate albums addressing Jay-Z's affairs.
The couple has since had three children, and Jay-Z has openly repented for his mistakes on his new album '4:44'. So it looks like the concert is not going to be ill-fated because Bey is heading for her first live performance at Coachella this year following the birth of her twins Sir and Rumi.
Fans are also sure that the concert is definitely set to happen after Bey dropped a new remix of her hit “Sweet Dreams” on iTunes, Apple Music and TIDAL This convinced fans that she was preparing for a live comeback.
So is the hip-hop power couple going to collaborate for a new album? Jay-Z has hinted it in the past, so there's no telling if the rumors are true or not. We'll just have to wait and see.
The 'On the Run II' stadium tour starts in the UK on June 6, with the North American leg starting on July 25. Tickets presale go live on Wednesday, March 14.
