Alternative pop-rock band Between Kings released a new official music video for their current single 'Antidote'. This is the lead track off their forthcoming album 'Young Love', which is due to be out on April 24 via The Regime.

Alternative pop-rock band Between Kings have announced a headliner performance at The Viper Room in Los Angeles on March 10 night. The news comes in tandem with the release of their new official music video for their current single 'Antidote'. This is the lead track off their forthcoming album 'Young Love', which is due to be out on April 24 via The Regime.

Originally from Australia, the Los Angeles-based quartet has frontman Nic Machuca, Jordan Coyne on guitar, Jayden Marsh on bass and Nick Fanning on drums.

The band is described in a statement as "a throwback to those times when rock 'n' roll music could save your life and a glimpse into its possible future". With arena-rock and emo-punk influences from the likes of Blink-182, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Linkin Park and Rage Against the Machine, the band's musical popularity is nothing less than inevitable, streaming over 1.5 million times on Spotify. Between Kings started out playing open mic nights in Brisbane before hitting the club circuit and then becoming one of Australia's top artistes. The band released their debut album 'The Escape' in 2018.

In the new 'Antidote' music video, directed by Estevan Oriol and filmed in Los Angeles, we see the band's personal take on mental health with the song's "non-judgmental observation of how society copes with the pressures of modern society", according to a statement.

The band explained that the idea behind the music video was about a girl who needs her own antidote as she struggles with mental health issues. "We wanted to be subtle with the term antidote as each person has their own method of dealing with things, so we used a boy as the thing that makes her feel like everything is okay," the band stated in a press release. "We got to work with a team of great, talented people, who all did an amazing job at bringing our vision to life. We're extremely proud of the song and the music video and hope you all enjoy it too."

The band just gave a headliner performance at The Viper Room in Los Angeles on March 10 night.

The Viper Club was previously owned by Johnny Depp and Sal Jenco and has seen numerous ownership changes since its opening night in 1993. The Hollywood hangout has been deemed a promising venue for rising musical stars to showcase their talent with a host of different artists such as The Pussycat Dolls, John Frusciante of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Johnny Cash, Adam Duritz of Counting Crows and more.
