What is the plot of 'Betty's Bad Luck in Love'?
Curses are a thing, just ask Billy Halleck. OK, so maybe Betty's curse isn't something macabre sprung from the mind of Stephen King, but it's still disrupting her life. While Halleck's curse was to become thinner...till there was nothing left, Betty's is to fail at romance, again...and again. But just as she's ready to hang up her heart and embrace spinsterhood like a trooper, she meets Alex, dashing, debonair Alex. Of course, Betty's going to give love one more shot once she sets eyes on him, but can love conquer all, including a curse?

Laci (who plays Betty) was on our screens a lot before we realized we were watching a star. She appeared in the TV series -- beep if you recognize these names -- 'Fairly Legal', 'Arrow' (before it was a thing), 'Emily Owens MD' and 'Continuum'. But then came 2011s 'Falling Skies', a show we rated pretty highly, unfortunately we were in the minority. Laci played Jeanne in the sci-fi show for 12 episodes and made her mark. She then starred in the unusual -- though not necessarily bad -- 'The Romeo Section' before landing the role of Jess O'Brien in the much-loved 'Chesapeake Shores' where she starred opposite Meghan Ory, Treat Williams and Jesse Metcalfe for 55 episodes. It was with 'Chesapeake Shores' that Laci not just arrived, but proved she deserved to stay with the stars.
Marco Grazzini
After shuttling around the sets of various TV series through the late noughties and early teens, Marco found a halfway house on the rather good TV series 'The Art of More'. He then attracted attention as Peter Canning in the series 'The Murders' before landing the role of Alejandro on the hilarious 'Kim's Convenience'. But the role that would truly turn Marco into a leading man arrived in 2020 in the form of the massively popular 'Virgin River'. Marco's portrayal of Mike Valenzuela opposite Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson has earned him a serious fan following, and why not, he's excellent in the hit show
Is 'Betty's Bad Luck in Love' worth watching?
A light, frothy premise, some pretty decent acting skill on display, and the promise of a smile at the end of 90 minutes make for three very good reasons to watch this movie.
