After introducing Hank Schrader in the previous episode, season 5 of 'Better Call Saul' is focusing on introducing Jimmy McGill in his revamped titular legal persona Saul Goodman to none other than his old-time frenemy Howard Hamlin in the upcoming fourth episode. In an exclusive extended clip obtained by TV Line from the AMC promo for episode 4, titled 'Namaste', we find out how this little discussion between Jimmy and Howard is going to pan out.

The outlet reports that after Jimmy assures Howard that he can still continue addressing him with his real name, Howard expresses curiosity over this sudden name change. When he asks Jimmy about who Saul Goodman exactly is, the idealistic attorney turned amoral lawyer for the shady part of town, pitches his new avatar, calling Saul "the last line of defense for the little guy” and “a friend to the friendless.”

This sparks Howard's interest and he asks what the viewers have been unanimously questioning: Couldn’t Jimmy do all that Saul is about to, too? “Maybe he could… but Saul Goodman is,” Jimmy very boldly claims, thus upping the stakes for his new persona in the profession.

Additionally, the AMC official synopsis for the episode reveals: "As Jimmy doubles down on Saul Goodman; a deeply conflicted Kim brings him an interesting proposition; Gus makes a sacrifice in order to play the long game; Mike attempts to smooth things over with his family."

The promotional teaser for the same treads along the lines of the synopsis, by first showing the aforementioned exchange between Jimmy and Howard, and then focusing on the evergrowing strain in Jimmy and Kim's relationship as the two can be seen sleeping in the same bed, facing away from each other.

In other news, Mike's growing conflict with his family is hinted by his daughter suspiciously, and somewhat sympathetically telling him, "Something's going on with you," as a silent Mike struggles to find an answer. And on Jimmy's end of struggles, there's mostly an ongoing lack of faith amongst the clients he takes, or so the trailer hints as Jimmy can be seen ranting about how Saul is the 'real deal' that those 'twerps' have no idea of.

'Better Call Saul' season 5 airs on Mondays, at 9 PM only on AMC.
