Spoiler alert for Season 5 Episode 2: '50% Off'

This latest Season 5 of 'Better Call Saul' has established two primary things: Jimmy McGill is no longer the idealistic respected attorney anymore and his girlfriend Kim Wexler is most likely about to leave him in the long run. Why? Purely because of Kim's conflicted lack of faith in the new identity Jimmy adopts as Saul Goodman. She is now distant and she actively avoids Jimmy's attempts at making it up to her now that he has decided to con his way through the profession.

Episode 2 titled '50% Off' sees Jimmy in his new avatar of the titular Saul Goodman. He promises 50 percent discount in legal services to a rather exclusive clientele — the degenerate and seedy inhabitants of the shady parts of town. Think your regular addicts and outlaws who have a hard time deciphering how 50 percent is actually half the proportion and want to drive around town doing drugs and vandalizing. Jimmy, now Saul, believes it is worth the con, but Kim is definitely not bought.

The next day, while getting ready for work, Kim finds herself in a rather awkward position with a fumbling Jimmy trying to overcompensate for his new lack of discretion. It's obvious Kim isn't buying any of his bulls*** and her shaky glances avoiding Jimmy's. This only foreshadows the latter moments at an open house where Jimmy tries his hardest to show Kim the life they could have, now that his professional integrity is gone for a toss.

When Jimmy finds a colossal closet in the rather flashy looking massive villa, Kim says, "It's the closet of your dreams," which Jimmy corrects as the closet of 'our' dreams. To that, Kim responds with a dismissive 'sure' and that has caused the biggest worry in the fandom who believes Jimmy should choose to diss his ways and focus on making it work with Kim.

Soon after, Kim insists she is not going to lie to her clientele and Jimmy assures her they won't. But we all know these promises are just a build-up to the inevitable tragedy that awaits us at the end of each season, with some fans even deducing that this might be the end of Kim on the series. Some fans even believe Kim is working on an 'exit strategy' to get out of the mess Jimmy is creating for himself, and by extension her.

Taking note of all of this, a fan wrote on Twitter: "It's too late, Kim has already gone over to the Dark Side!" Another added: "Kim is trying to hold it together, but, she's fading on Saul."

And when it came to the house specifically, a fan believes: "No f***ing way Kim and Jimmy are getting a house. Kim's already working on that exit strategy." Addressing the breakup likely to come sometime this season, a fan also expressed how Kim's fate might not be so ultimate and tragic, as they shared: "I really feel that Jimmy and Kin are just going to break up and that will be that. I don’t think the producers will put Kim in harm’s way... and I also feel Kim will show up in the final Gene flash-forward. Mark my words!"

For other fans, this significant turnover from Jimmy to Saul has also caused enough concern to propel them to opine that Kim should just leave Jimmy altogether. "KIM. LEAVE HIM!! classic case of a woman falling in love with a man's potential. we love Jimmy, but he's never going to change," wrote a fan. And stating some dreaded facts, a fan shared: "Maybe I'm forgetting past references but, sometimes I get that feeling of dread because I don't remember Kim in any #BreakingBad or #ElCamino."
