Malia White may not be the fan-favorite crew member amongst the 'Below Deck Mediterranean' team, but there's no denying that she carried out her Bosun responsibilities to perfection. As a hands-on team leader, Malia constantly engaged with the deckhands by training them and helping them to further their careers.

So, it shouldn't be a surprise that while Malia was busy getting backlash from the public over getting Hannah Ferrier fired, her team members couldn't stop singing her praises. Unfortunately with Malia taking a break from Season 7 of 'Below Deck Med', Captain Sandy Yawn had no choice but to find a replacement for Malia. The Captain zeroed in on Raygan Tyler. The Essex-born new Bosun managed to form quite a strong first impression amongst her crew members as well as the show's audience. As soon as the episode premiered on NBC's streaming platform Peacock, several fans took to Reddit and Twitter to demand for Raygan's firing and predict that she would be shown the door before the season ended. Who is Raygan Tyler on 'Below Deck Med'?

Raygan Tyler is the new Bosun on 'Below Deck Med' Season 7. According to her Bravo bio, she was born in Essex but was bitten by the travel bug at a very early age. On the show, Raygan revealed that she grew up in Turkey after her parents moved there when she was a child. Raygan kicked off her career by working in the interior, and eventually broadened her boating experience landing a job as the Bosun aboard Home. 

The climb up the ladder in the yachting industry was anything but easy for Raygan due to the male-dominated space. But Raygan is all about getting the work done and also having some fun. In the trailer, we see the new Bosun drinking, dancing, and partying away. So, will Raygan prove to be a good replacement for Malia? Only time will tell. 

Did Raygan Tyler get fired from 'Below Deck Med' Season 7?

After watching the premiere episode of 'Below Deck Med' Season 7, several fans were convinced that the new Bosun would soon be shown the door by Captain Sandy owing to her lazy nature. The premiere episode feature Raygan simply barking orders at her team and getting them to do all the work while she kept taking smoke breaks. Raygan's reluctance to help out her team or be a team player didn't sit well with the deckhands, especially Jason Gaskell, who declared that he hated her. Strangely, even the primary charter guest didn't appear to be a fan of Raygan, as he too wrote off the new Bosun, but for no apparent reason.

Another fan commented, "Home is the nicest boat I've ever seen on a BD show...it even has an automatic door to outside?! (also, I can tell Raygan gonna get fired before the end of this lol) #BelowDeckMed #BelowDeckMediterranean."

Another fan shared, "OMG Captain Sandy is going to have real problems with this new Bosun! I can tell she won’t make the entire season #BelowDeckMed." "Will Raygan be the first Bosun to be fired mid season? #BelowDeckMed," wondered a fan. "Raygan was the quickest to ever get canceled. Lol! Now let’s hope she doesn’t stay employed that long on this boat. #BelowDeckMed," expressed a fan. "Rooting for a Raygan firing as soon as logistically possible, Captain Sandy… #BelowDeckMed," seconded a fan. According to Reddit forums, Raygan will reportedly be fired mid-season, and one of the deckhands gets promoted to bosun, and Courtney Veale from the previous season will be roped in as the new replacement deck hand. 

'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 7 premieres on Monday, July 11 at 8/7c on Bravo. Peacock will offer early access to Season 7 with new episodes dropping one-week early beginning Monday, July 4.
