'Below Deck': Izzy outworks colleagues James and Shane, impressed fans call her 'strongest deckhand'

'Below Deck' returned with yet another explosive episode where the crew is struggling to set up a beach picnic. But the one who managed to shine despite the challenges that were thrown their way was Isabelle "Izzy" Wouters. She had a good day and bosun Eddie Lucas noticed it.

Izzy was the first to get on with the cleaning job on the deck after James Hough left it dirty, with food scraps strewn all across the floor. Both him and Shane Coopersmith were asleep while Izzy worked with Eddie to set up the breakfast area for the guests who were up before their usual time. Later, despite her health conditions (she was diagnosed with the Guillain-Barre syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that attacks the nerves), pitched in at the beach to help the team set up the tent, chairs and all things beachy for the guests.

This was not surprising given how passionate Izzy is about being a part of the deck team. She was employed as a second stew but was having a hard time working her way around the interior. And so, requested Captain Lee Rosbach if he would consider putting her on the deck team. Izzy has had prior experience of working the deck and therefore, it's fun for her to be out there. She even tweeted: "My last season on a yacht was quite akin to BD7 and the filthy misogyny displayed by the male deck crew. Really knocked me and threw my confidence. But determined to rise up and show them what a gal can really do! #BelowDeck," which was received well by fans who showed their support to Izzy and assured her she was doing well.

"Def getting vibes with the interior team @bettabird and not the guys on the deck crew. @WoutersIzzy outworking the boys and good luck with them, @capthlr and #EddieLucas. #BelowDeck @BravoTV," a fan commented, while another shared: "If only Sunshine and the Dweeb put in as much effort as you did!"

"From what I can see here you seem wicked smart and willing to learn new tasks. Keep going girly. You rock," a user commented, while another posted: "Izzy holding her own on the deck crew so far. I’m impressed...eight minutes in! #BelowDeck." "I said Izzy is the strongest deckhand #belowdeck," a fan expressed.
