After the shocking exit of actor Ruby Rose from The CW's 'Batwoman', the show is set to return on Sunday, January 17 with an all-new lead character called Ryan Wilder who will be portrayed by Javicia Leslie. Ryan will take on the mantle of Batwoman after being inspired by the actions of Kate Kane who was portrayed by Rose. Here are the cast members who will return to reprise their roles along with Leslie.

Javicia Leslie

Actor Javicia Leslie will play the role of Ryan Wilder, the next  Batwoman in the show. The actor has previously worked as the main cast member on 'God Friended Me' and 'The Family Business'. When the actor was cast in the role, she had said, "I am extremely proud to be the first Black actress to play the iconic role of Batwoman on television, and as a bisexual woman, I am honored to join this groundbreaking show which has been such a trailblazer for the LGBTQ+ community."

Actor Nicole Kang plays the role of medical student Mary Hamilton who is Kate Kane's step-sister. The character has since become one of the fans' favorite and it looks like she will return to reprise her role. At this point, it is speculated that the actor will help the new Batwoman find her footing in Gotham after Kate Kane leaves the spot open.

Meghan Tandy

Meghan Tandy will reprise her role as Sophie Moore, the leader of Gotham's leading private security firm Crows which is owned by Jacob Kane, Kate Kane's father. She was also Kate's former lover and that line of the plot may not progress any further. Instead, we wonder if Moore will continue to associate with Batwoman or if she will hunt the vigilante like the other law enforcement agents.

When Kate Kane had decided to take on the cowl, the one who had helped her with the logistics of being a vigilante -- the suit, the bike and all the weapons that come along with it -- was none other than Lucius Fox's son Luke Fox portrayed by Johnson. In the upcoming season 2, he will be seen supporting the new Batwoman, but how he will come to terms with the absence of Kate is something that we will have to wait and see.

Rachel Skarsten

The villain of the first season of 'Batwoman' was none other than Alice aka Beth who happens to be Kate's twin sister who had been kidnapped after a crash that had killed their mother. Rachel Skarsten portrayed this character in season 1, and she will reprise her role in the upcoming season as well. However, how her character will change in the absence of her sister is something that we will see in the new season.

The show will also see a number of actors play the roles of villains in the upcoming season. These include Leah Gibson as The Whisper aka Tatiana who is a deadly assassin. Nathan Owens would star as Ocean, who will arrive in Gotham for a new start. Shivani Ghai has also landed the recurring role of Safiyah in the show.
