CW's new order slate is here and it looks awesome! The network has picked up to series 'Batwoman', starring Ruby Rose after it was only approved for a pilot episode earlier. It is the first live-action series with a lesbian superhero.

The longline for the highly anticipated show goes, "Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (starring Ruby Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope."

If that doesn't excite you yet - the teaser will send chills down your spine for sure. It is Executive Produced and written by Caroline Dries and has the likes of Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns and David Nutter onboard.

There's also a 'Riverdale' spinoff to come called 'Katy Keene' starring Lucy Hale and a show on 'Nancy Drew' starring Kennedy McMann. 'Batwoman' and 'Katy Keene' will be made by Greg Berlanti’s own, Berlanti Prods. and Warner Bros. TV.

'Nancy Drew' will follow an 18-year-old Drew (Kennedy McMann), fresh out of graduation who ends up getting stuck at home even though she had plans for college. A family tragedy strikes and holds her back another year and the teenage detective she finds herself embroiled in a ghostly murder investigation — and along the way, uncovers secrets that run deeper than she ever imagined. As for 'Katy Keene' the plot follows Hale's character Keene, who is an aspiring fashion designer based out of New York City. She finds her friend in Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray), a fresh off the bus aspiring musician. The two want to get to the top and will stop at nothing to make their dreams come true.
