DC fans were absolutely miffed when the comics' official Twitter account tweeted out the first look at 'Batman #94' written by James Tynion IV and art by Guillem March along with Rafael Albuquerque. The caption read: "Is the Caped Crusader ready for #JokerWar? Gear up with the first look at BATMAN #94"

"What a joke If DC is going to undo the only important thing from Tom King's run (there's no way Alfred is going to stay dead for long), can they please undo everything Bendis has done to Superman, Lois, and Jon?" a fan wrote in reaction to the reveal. "If Batman breaks up Catwoman after almost 100 issues of build-up... I don't think I will ever buy a Batman comic book again...I mean, what is the point? If nothing changes," opined one of the fans.

"This is why comic sells are low & manga selling like crazy, Harley a stupid Anti Hero, Batcat break up 24/7, Superman ruined, canceling series left n right, Ivy still doesn't have her own series, etc," remarked a fan. "Who gives a damn at this point?" tweeted a fan while another fan tweet read: "What a joke I’m done"

"I feel like DC Comics wants to distance itself from Tom King's Batman as much as possible," wrote a fan. "CHARACTER PROGRESSION. Please don't screw Batman and Catwoman's relationship for like the 100th time," requested one of the fans. "Enough is enough," wrote a fan.

The official synopsis reads: "The Designer's machinations have left Batman's life in tatters! Gotham City's ambitious rebuilding has skittered to a halt as new powers are rising to shape its destiny—and Batman is powerless to stop them! With no Alfred or Bat-Family to lean on, the Dark Knight stands alone against the ascendance of his greatest adversary!"

"Really hoping you're just pulling my leg DC cause for reals," a fan tweet read. The best one though happens to be this tweet: "I’ve really enjoyed seeing Catwoman as Batman’s partner and I really hope they don’t have to break up so early in this new status quo. With Alfred gone things should be different."

'Batman #94' releases on July 7, 2020.
