Why did Tami Roman quit 'Basketball Wives'? Fans say Season 9's 'boring' without her but glad she chose 'peace'

Tami Roman quit 'Basketball Wives' after being a regular on the show for seven seasons. From the start, she engaged in conflicts with castmates, which earned her the tag of a "bully". She may have felt ostracized and pushed to a corner, but that was not why she left.

Her on-off feud with Evelyn Lozada boiled over in Season 8. It had become violent and no one, including Tami, needed that kind of energy. She left the show mid-season and even skipped the reunion citing an allergic reaction.

What was the fight all about? Tami claimed that Evelyn once spoke of her 'domestic abuse' story, the one she experienced with ex-husband Chad Johnson, who she was married to for two months. The couple was in love but we guess that wasn't enough to keep them together. They fought over a condom receipt, during which Chad headbutt her, which left Evelyn with a laceration. She got stitches done at the ER.

Apparently, there's a twist to this story. When addressing the incident, Evelyn apparently told Tami that "it was an accident". "So, don't sit up and pretend you're the victim when you know it was a fraudulent situation," Tami said in one of the episodes from the previous season. "He accidentally [headbutted her] because they were tussling with each other. The neighbors saw and they called the cops and had they not done that, she would still be with Chad," she added.

Jackie Christie tried to reason with her as they sat down for a chat. She pointed out to Tami how she was in the wrong, which she readily admitted but soon said that it hurt her too. Tami, after she made those claims about Evelyn and Chad's violent fight, was judged by people she thought were her friends. "When I was the big bitch they was talking about me. Ever since I've known them girls, they've been talking about me, and I just always tried to be their fucking friend," she said.

Tami is upfront and never afraid. She may have been loud and charged up on certain occasions, but with her, you get what you see. And that could be one of the reasons why fans have been missing her energy this season.

"Thought #basketballwives was on @ 9 on @VH1 guess I’ll catch it @ 11. However, not the same without Tami," a user commented, while another shared: "Man bring back Tami and cancel Furby. #BasketballWives." Another said, "Tami Roman is to #BasketballWives like Nene Leakes is to #RHOA without those two the show is kinda boring #bbwla." One more said, "Listen. We miss you on #bbwla sis! How you doing? #Tami #BasketballWives." Another wrote, "I’m glad Tami & CeCe chose peace. #BasketballWives."
