Bang Bang Con: BTS treat fans to emotional Wings-era solos 'Reflection' by RM and 'Stigma' by Taehyung
Hot off the first few performances of Bang Bang Con, which included some intense pelvic thrusts during 'Silver Spoon' and low growls from Taehyung in 'Dope', BTS are giving each member the chance to shine with their Wings era solos!
We're getting all the solos back-to-back, which means ARMYs have very little time to deal with all of these feelings. Leader RM's 'Reflection' is up first, which is a beautifully raw and honest journey from despair to self-love.
One fan said, "namjoon’s reflection is absolutely powerful and so down to earth #BANGBANGCON_D2" and another tweeted, "Reflection is such an emotional song it makes me sob every time. These solos are really hitting me differently than I thought they would." Another fan said, "If reflection doesn't have you in your feels. #BANGBANGCON_D2 #BangBangConWithARMY #BANGBANGCON"
Others wanted a return of RM's style during this era, stating "We need purple hair namjoon to come back! Also reflection is so beautiful I’m crying / We love u president Joon! #BANGBANGCON_D2@BTS_twt" while one fan tweeted, "remember when joon broke the phone booth," along with a hilarious behind-the-scenes video of leader RM destroying a phone booth while recording for the song.
Taehyung followed with his first-ever solo song 'Stigma', which deals with heavy concepts like abuse and domestic violence. RM famously promised to give Taehyung his first lead verse on a song during the 2016 BTS Live (HYYM Epilogue) that aired yesterday, and it's such a treat to see the young member grow into his own vocalist on this song.
Both 'Reflection' and 'Stigma' are beautifully emotional pieces, so naturally, it got fans in their feels.
"They really put Stigma after Reflection huh," tweeted one fan, while another joked, "From reflection to stigma??? They said it's on site army." One fan said, "REFLECTION TO STIGMA NAMJOON TO TAEHYUNG."
Fans also had a hard time managing all these feelings, since they were still emotional from 'Reflection'. "IM NOT EVEN OVER JOONS REFLECTION PERF AND HERE GOES STIGMA," tweets one fan, and another states, "POV: YOURE ME WAVING YOUR ARMY B*MB TRYING TO WATCH STIGMA BUT YOUR EYES ARE STILL A LIL BLURRY FROM POST-REFLECTION TEARS"
