The Baeksang Arts Awards or the Baeksang Awards or Paeksang Arts Awards honors excellence in different fields of entertainment such as film, television and the theater industry in South Korea. This is the only comprehensive award ceremony that is held in the country and was founded by Chang Key-young, who is the founder of Hankook Ilbo newspaper. His pen name was "Baeksang".

The country does have other award ceremonies that are hosted by different networks within the country. This year, due to the scandal surrounding 'It's Okay to Not be Okay' actor Seo Ye-ji, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the nominations that were announced on April 12.
