'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 6 'Reset': Paul Blackthorne and Katie Cassidy steal the show with touching father-daughter goodbye

'Arrow' Season 8 has been delivering one killer episode after another and Episode 6 'Reset' did not disappoint. With a 'Groundhog Day'-inspired storyline and a very meta plot, this was one of the most enjoyable watches the show has ever given the fans with Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) taking center-stage.

In the episode, Laurel finally managed to say goodbye to her father, something she never got the chance to do before. In the process, we got a scene that's one of the show's most heartbreakingly beautiful moments ever.

Laurel has been struggling with her past as a villain for quite some time now and even though she's joined the side of the good guys, she's never really managed to accept that she's a hero herself. Quentin gave her that validation, telling her that she truly is a hero, and it is exactly what Laurel has needed all this while.

Both Katie Cassidy and Paul Blackthorne deliver memorable performances, not just in that particular scene but throughout the episode. Cassidy has brought a lot of emotion to her performance as Laurel all season and this episode is second only to Episode 2 'Welcome to Hong Kong' when it comes to amazing Laurel moments.

Blackthorne's Quentin is a rock throughout the episode, facing death again and again without being fazed. The actor plays the stoic veteran cop to perfection, as always, and we never really realized just how much we missed seeing Quentin on the show till this episode. Sure, 'Arrow' might be Stephen Amell's show and Amell has certainly more than earned his place as the show's star. But that said, Blackthorne and Cassidy really stole the show this time around.

'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 7 'Purgatory' will air on The CW on December 3.
