Five months into the rehabilitation center and actor Armie Hammer is reportedly 'thriving' amid his ongoing treatment. According to insider sources, the 'Call Me By Your Name' actor wishes to stay at the rehab center for as long as it takes him to get better. To jog your memory, earlier this year, the 35-year-old actor was at the center of a huge controversy after his personal DMs with cannibalistic sexual fantasies got leaked online. Hammer, a father of two, was accused by a slew of girlfriends of rape, sexual abuse, and bizarre obsession with cannibalism.
Hammer's DMs with young women over the course of four years since 2016 revealed a side of the actor that took many by surprise. The abuse allegations became more serious in light of his ex-girlfriends coming out and revealing their ordeal over the course of their relationship with Hammer. In wake of the social media controversy, Hammer also stepped away from his upcoming two projects including 'Shotgun Wedding' and 'The Offer'. Recently, Hammer was also replaced in Broadway's 'The Minutes' by 'Schitt's Creek' actor Noah Reid.

Meanwhile, Armie Hammer is slowly recovering from his past addictions and he is even keeping in touch with his children — six-year-old daughter Harper and four-year-old son Ford. He shares his kids with ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers who currently has their custody.
Sources close to Hammer did not disclose whether the actor confessed to all the disturbing allegations from his exes, but they admitted that the actor was "in an incredibly bad place" when he checked into rehab on May 31, 2021. The in-patient treatment center, located outside of Orlando, Florida, offers treatment for those dealing with drug, alcohol, and sex addiction issues.
Former girlfriends Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze revealed Hammer's allegedly abusive, cannibalistic interests. Vucekovich reportedly alleged that during their relationship in 2020, Hammer was emotionally manipulative and abusive, described wanting to eat her flesh, and would suck or lick her wounds if she had "a little cut on [her] hand". The short-lived relationship left her with post-traumatic stress disorder and in therapy. Lorenze claimed that Hammer branded her by carving the letter "A" near her vagina, later bragging about it to her friends and was "serious" in a suggestion that she have her lower ribs surgically removed so that he could eat them. An attorney for Hammer told reporters that assertions against his client are “patently untrue", stating that any interactions with any sexual partners of his were “completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory". Hammer himself denied the accusations initially saying, "I'm not responding to these bulls**t claims," but his later admission into the rehab indirectly hinted at acknowledgment.
