'Love Is Blind' creator Chris Coelen dropped some shocking details in an interview with the publication, discussing the brief engagement of Finley and Lopez, without revealing their names. Coelen explained, "We actually had eight couples get engaged and followed seven of them. The eighth couple, whom we did not follow, broke off their engagement the next day." Later, Entertainment Weekly confirmed the couple's identity.
Finley recounted to Tudum, "We got engaged. We did the reveal, and it was awesome. Right away when we saw each other—it was chemistry, like I thought it would be." However, Lopez shocked her after the reveal by saying he planned to move from Ohio to Tampa the very next day. She added, "He stole this experience from me. It was really hard afterward. Since that day, we haven't talked. That was it... I dodged a bullet [with Miguel]. Now, I'm going to ask the harder questions sooner and not waste my time, especially because I'm 39. Like, what are your values really? Are you a narcissist? Hopefully not. Next time, I'm going to find those red flags real quick."
