Making a superb period drama is really hard. The makers need to draw a line between what is real and what is fiction so that fans don’t get upset by what they just saw on the screen. There have been many examples in the past where period dramas have done exceedingly well for the networks and given them the opportunity to win various accolades.

In the recent past, shows like ‘Bridgerton’, ‘Downtown Abbey’ and ‘The Crown’ have enthralled viewers with their content and kept them at the edge of their seats. Now that the networks know how curious fans are to know about historical figures, AMC is trying to woo its fans with their latest period drama and hoping to get an extraordinary reception.
