Amy Schumer and Chris Fischer get married after whirlwind romance
Amy Schumer had confirmed her romance with Chris Fischer just a couple of days back
Amy Schumer is married to her beau Chris Fischer and we can't contain our excitement. The news comes just a few days after Amy made their relationship Instagram official. Under the ruse of thanking Ellen DeGeneres for inviting them to her 60th birthday party, Amy shared a photo of her and Chris kissing passionately.
Little did we know she was potentially hinting at her marriage to her man with that picture. Well, we know now! Multiple sources have reportedly confirmed to Us Weekly that Chris and Amy are currently man and wife.
The couple reportedly had an intimate wedding ceremony attended by 80 close friends and family members, at a rented house in Malibu. According to People, the wedding, which enforced a strict no-photos policy, took place on Tuesday, February 13.
The star-studded guest list included Jennifer Aniston, Judd Apatow, Jake Gyllenhaal, Larry David, David Spade and, of course, the bride's BFF, Jennifer Lawrence. According to sources, one of Amy's comedian friends also officiated the nuptials.
Amy and her chef husband were first spotted together in November 2017 while enjoying a romantic dinner at Café Altro Paradiso in New York City. Amy's close friend and fellow comedian Bridget Everett had revealed in December that the Trainwreck actress is head over heels in love. “Amy’s very happy," she had said.
However, it wasn't until February 11 that Amy herself addressed the rumors by posting their adorably couple-y photo from Ellen's birthday party, captioning it, "Happy Birthday @theellenshow thank you for having us!" The us, truly feels like an "us" now.
Despite not being a part of showbiz, Chris is a very successful and popular entity, having worked as a sous chef at celebrity chef Mario Batali’s Manhattan restaurant Babbo. He is also a James Beard Award winning author, having penned Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha’s Vineyard.
